Don't go for standard. Standard is the cheapest of all room type. Need to go out and get water at the designated places.

Y5D at tower 3. A bit farther to walk though still manageable if you know the shortcut. Got wifi (could be weak) but no view because windows face other rooms.

Between the 2, Y5D better. If you can get Y5 triple better. Window facing outside.

You can go websites like agoda or tripadvisor to see pictures people post

From some room tours I viewed on YouTube, not all Y5 Triple rooms face outside. There are 4 rows of Y5 Triple:

↑ Towards Y5 Double Rooms ↑ Towards Y5 Double Rooms ↑ Towards Y5 Double Rooms ↑

Mountain | Row 1 | Corridor | Row 2 | (seeing each other) | Row 3 | Corridor | Row 4 | Hostel/GG

Lift Lobby

If your Row 4 room is high enough to not being blocked by staff hostel, you get to see Genting Grand and Theme Park.

Without paying extra to choose view upon check-in, securing Y5 Triple doesn't guarantee what you see outside. In my last visit staying at FWH Standard Double, all add-on options were greyed out. Probably checked in too late until good rooms fully snapped.

Oh. Thanks for clarifying

I think we will go for Y5D since we have not try before.

But just curious if toilet and bathroom is together or separated just like standard rooms

Good old times probably over alrdy, we hv to get adjusted in terms of expectations ...those who cherish spending more time in the room (ie.nice clean rooms) rather than "working" longer hours in casino will need to face the reality now tat today's Genting customer service no longer like b4. They r chronically short of manpower especially in hotel's housekeeping dept - rooms hygiene n cleanliness will be a few notches below pre-covid level.

U will be surprised some of us prefer the Tower 1 Standard Room...tho it's without kettle n safety box (need to be confirmed). Somehow there are some higher level rooms still with carpet which i prefer...(of course got hygiene issues)

After just 1 trip post-covid, i very quickly adjusted my expectations prior to going my next trip. Most importantly for me moving fwd is to hv minimum basic needs - ie. A bed to Zzz n recover after long hours out there ..will spend minimum time except for sleep....tats FWH.

If given Genting Grand or Highlands hotel, I'll switch mode to spending more time in rooms but it seems unlikely for the near future... recently, most of us given FWH tho in pre-covid past easily cud get G.Grand or Highlands hotel.

GG or HH probably only able to reserve the rooms if they invite you for special events.

Nothing in regards to Aug comps. In fb got see people getting comps up to Dec already.

Yes, do agree its hard to get rms for GG n Highland. Do check the kiosk for promo, manage to get highland for 142gp in May. N also do check with the staff after playing. They offer me 1nite in highland. As for FWH the wifi nt as reliable as before. Tried the standard rm prefer it more than Y5 as walking distance less. But housekeeping 3days once so hv to call them to change towels while highland is still daily housekeeping but no more rm service.

Oh yeah, don't get me started on the digital key. It is "supposed" to make your life easier as you can use blue tooth in your hp to unlock your room after you supposedly check in at the kiosk. Don't be fooled. You still have to line up at counter 1 to get a validation code to unlock your key. Hahaha. I queued needlessly for about 40 mins when I could have just checked in at the kiosk and taken the normal physical cards instead. And those msian uncles and aunties queue one person and then call their kakis to come collect their digital keys too. Making the queue even longer. Damn clownish.

Has anyone else tried the digital key (mobile check-in) for First World Hotel Tower 3 room? I wish to check in from the app before arriving, so that I can secure a room top-up with mountain view while still available. One digital key for myself and two physical RFID cards for my family (they are non-member).

1) An Aug 2020 guide says that activation is done by scanning code at hotel front desk. Is the Counter 1 queue still crazy now?

2) Meanwhile, Digital Key FAQ (https://www.rwgenting.com/en/hotels/digital-key-faq.html) mentioned that "activate your digital key by approaching the Self check-in kiosk". Does it imply that I can simply activate the key and get my additional RFID card from normal self check-in kiosks across T1 and T3 lobbies without going through staffed front desk?

I have never observed it closely...any seasoned bros here know the GP earning rate at so called VIP area and non-VIP? Is it the same or VIP is at a slightly faster rate?

Stayed 4N in FWH Y5 Triple room from 11/6 to 15/6 and my experience is as follows:
Hotel
1)
Room is only comfortable for 2 occupiers;
2) Cleanliness is 6/10 (less the dirty window);
3) House keeping once in every 4 nights. Replace towels and empty dustbins everyday;
4) Bring own toothbrush/toothpaste or pay RM5/pax at vending machines;
5) Tower 3 only have 6 lifts serving 2nd ~ 28th storey. Hence, it will be better to use Tower 2 lift lobbies via corridor after water dispenser area (12 lifts (6 on each lobby serving 2th ~ 14th storey), and another 12 lifts (6 on each lobby serving 15th & above); and
6) Only allow to select 1 of the pay options (mountain view, high floor or non smoking). There is a row of non smoking face inside generator Y5 Triple Room at 4th storey. Thank God mine is at 9th storey and the noise was not loud unless I stand near the window.

Your 4 nights stay is wholly complimentary or partly self paid?
