Obviously hanbok is korean right? That one is no dispute. They are just angry their culture got wiped out in the cultural revolution where they wore the "stalin tunic" aka the "Mao suit" instead of Chinese clothing.

Before that they were wearing Manchu clothes because got ruled by them. In fact most oversea chinese descendants are heavily influenced by manchu culture such as qipao/cheongsam and changpao. I have never seen anyone here in Singapore wear "hanfu" ever at all.

The last time they actually were under their own Chinese cultural rule was the Ming dynasty back in 1600s.

They are the same people who will also say kimono is from China and gengis khan is chinese.
