can i ask for some advice, given P6pro and P7... any advice on which model is a better choice?
i probably will get 2nd hand from carousell
to be used for travelling and as a spare set

camera is not the most high priority factor, both models should be good enough by todays' standards

All same pixel experience
since you're looking for 2nd hand or on a tight budget, go for the cheaper model p6a
if you care for longer os/security updates, go for p7
p6p launched bk in oct 2021, 2nd hand dunno how's the battery health (if owner anyhow charge/discharge), so wear n tear likely cui

I am not a power user so the bigger screen, ram and 120hz is not as important to me. The only thing that would interest me is the telephoto. But I prefer the smaller size and "quality of life hardware improvements" over the 1st gen 6 Pro.

Pixel 6a is arguably the best value of the 3 so long you can accept the 6gb ram and 60hz screen. I'm using it right now and happy with it until my next upgrade. It was extremely handy during my overseas trip last year.

I have the P6a, yeah it is really good for the price i paid and the only thing i have against it is the heat up sometimes if you are using it for a while and switching between apps. It goes hotter than iphone.

Might be. Depends on google release the update when. But for sure google is joking around when update come together or either separated
