:) Thanks, saw your post and decided to search further on fancoil detergent and found this as so far I am using fancoil spray foams but not so effective removing some hardened dirt. Will like to add the detergent into the electric sprayer directly.

Anyone used this specialized fancoil detergent (CLEANBEE AIRCON COIL CLEANER ALKALINE BASE 1500 5L) before? The review looks good but they says will bite your skin, if bite skin, it means will also bite metal? Thanks.

Don't buy alkaline based cleaner. It contains sodium hydroxide. It eats aluminium. Fancoil fins are all aluminium. If you see pockmarks on your aluminium fins, that's what they use: alkaline cleaner. I've seen the results of usage of alkaline cleaner on outside compressor fins, they are brittle, filled with pock holes and ready to crack.

However, sodium hydroxide is good for cleaning up oil mess. I use it to clean up automotive engine oil spill.
But you don't have such oil on your fancoil.

Use a neutral cleaner that will not harm your fancoil. I recommend SuperSteam 301 or 306, they also contain disinfectant, which destroys those slime clogging up drain hose.

Does this one got accessories such as flexible nozzles that can be attached and can reach the back of the evaporator coils?

As my FCU only about 10cm from ceiling.

Thanks.
No matter what attachment that focus the water spray; pressure is limited to your source, which is the tap.
You need a high pressure washer. If you see the cleaner cleaning the floors, they use high pressure washer.
The safe pressure washer to use is the Bosch EasyAquatek, 100 bar, https://www.bosch-diy.com/sg/en/p/easyaquatak-100-06008a7eb0

The tabs I got from Amazon are thick. But I just leave it between the gap of the fin and casing. Over time, the water will dissolve it and works just as well.

The only concern I have is that the solution may turn out too diluted and may not be as effective. Maybe you need to added more tablets?

But since it works for you, that’s fine 😀

I place a tab once every two weeks. I collect the water in a tray and ever since I used the tabs, the tray no longer turns slimy. Epic good product.

Yes, the nozzle is flexible, you can bend it downwards. I use this to clean the rear coil.
And then I tilt the nozzle upwards to clean the blowers from below.

10cm clearance might be a bit tight, but probably doable. Mine is 20cm.
If you remove the plastic casing, it will have more clearance.

Most of you here did this way? I wonder how to reach and to clean and wash the back of the coil?

I think so far I saw those videos, no one show how to clean and wash the back of the coil.

Unless dismantled and removed the evaporator coil completely?

Or remove the blower, and tried to reach the back of the coil as much as possible?

Just sharing my setup for cleaning and rinsing, I tape rolled garbage bags so that water can flow down nicely, learned from japanese youtube videos.

I bought from Amazon, Rectorseal 200 A/C tablets,
https://www.amazon.sg/Rectorseal-68115-Hydrex-Tabs-200-Tablet/dp/B008A3UCYS
It was much cheaper then, but now not available.
If I use 1 tablet a weak, it would last a long time.

This one 200 tablets is worth it, can use for a long time.
https://www.amazon.sg/Nu-Calgon-4296-60-Pan-Treat-Scum-Tablets/dp/B003N5AS60

The trick is to use regularly, even in small quantity, so the slime don't build up.

I was actually thinking that I might need something like a U-shape extension nozzle.

But I don’t have the Bosch pressure washer to check what size is required. Or whether such extension is possible on this unit. Thanks.

The Bosch nozzle is flexible, can clean over the top or under by tilting it.
You can also use it to clean the compressor back coil. It's truly worth investing it, if you want to DIY A/C cleaning.
However, the soap dispenser is a bit niggly and gets in the way some times, You have to adjust it.

Those U type nozzles are available, but I'd rather not go that way first, unless no choice.
You can buy 3rd party sprayer lance and nozzle to attach to the quick-fit of the Bosch high pressure hose, they are standard dimension.

I check their website, it seems the only difference is the smell.
I tried to buy 301 from Horme, but it seems always sold out.
So now I'd just buy 301 or 306 from Shopee.

Can take a close up your taping on the right side?

The PCB taping with plastic bag is there permanently?

I saw you tape until the blower motor area and censor area

Is the blue tape painter tape?

Thanks

I tape the PCB and sensor area when cleaning.
The tape is a cheap clean removal tape from mr diy, similar to painter's tape.

will take more pictures next time, plan to clean another unit in other room soon.
