Don't buy alkaline based cleaner. It contains sodium hydroxide. It eats aluminium. Fancoil fins are all aluminium. If you see pockmarks on your aluminium fins, that's what they use: alkaline cleaner. I've seen the results of usage of alkaline cleaner on outside compressor fins, they are brittle, filled with pock holes and ready to crack. Thanks, saw your post and decided to search further on fancoil detergent and found this as so far I am using fancoil spray foams but not so effective removing some hardened dirt. Will like to add the detergent into the electric sprayer directly.
Anyone used this specialized fancoil detergent (CLEANBEE AIRCON COIL CLEANER ALKALINE BASE 1500 5L) before? The review looks good but they says will bite your skin, if bite skin, it means will also bite metal? Thanks.

However, sodium hydroxide is good for cleaning up oil mess. I use it to clean up automotive engine oil spill.
But you don't have such oil on your fancoil.
Use a neutral cleaner that will not harm your fancoil. I recommend SuperSteam 301 or 306, they also contain disinfectant, which destroys those slime clogging up drain hose.
