Basically, at lower LAN speed, LAN cable used wire point 1,2,3,6 and pin 4,5 is for telephone signal. But not for higher LAN speed.

Another thing to watch out is telephone signal carry 48v voltage. If wired in correctly, it can damage your device. So in general, not recommend to use telephone and LAN on the same wire/socket.

In my case the ISP contractor had disconnect the telephone point cable from the main telephone lines so no telephone signal at all.
That's to connect between point A to B where A is at the db (tel point) and B at the bedroom tel point, independently.

He had did on 2 bedroom telephone points and combined into 1 for in my bedroom for both internet & IPTV to run separately.
As he had mentioned that the telephone cable is using Cat-6.
Luckily the other bedroom telephone point is on the same position of the wall.
This is due to my renovation contractor foul up the data points, unable to use.

Have just gotten Ayub to do up my entire house LAN cable installation and i must say that i'm fully satisfied with the work he has done. Despite the complex wiring system of my house, he managed to lay the cables as perfectly as they could be done. Even the areas where trunkings were needed, he did his best to install them where it could be hidden and also the workmanship was awesome.

Now i'm able to connect to my internet in the highest speed possible from all my rooms and that's all i could ask for (and i believe everyone's else as well). Highly recommended for anyone who needs LAN cable installation.

Following the recommendation of others on this forum i contacted Ayub to install Ethernet points in my house earlier this week as my existing TP-Link Power-line Ethernet kept dropping my internet connection randomly for a couple of seconds every few hrs.

Guy was friendly and professional - trunking for the cables were laid nicely and he used a glue gun to seal up the gap between the trunking and the wall as well. Overall very satisfied with the workmanship!

I requested Cat 6 cabling and installed 3 pairs of Ethernet points, costed me SGD$390. Work took about 4.5hrs.

Took some pics for reference:

If you guys are interested can give Ayub a try - his contact as shared by many others on this forum and reddit is 8118 6069
