Just got my resale flat recently and I need to know my 11-digit Town Council reference number so I can pay my bill online. Have emailed Town Council for this number but no reply. Is this number the so called HDB reference number when I log in to the myhdbpage?

Call and ask your town council. HDB ref no not same as TC.

Else wait for bill for TC.

Please bring your HDB ownership letter a few weeks after your 2nd HDB appt, to the town council and open an account.

I don't think you have open an account, so there is most likely no number for you at the moment. You can chose to pay by GIRO or monthly payment at AXS machine.

actually this is one area where they can simplify and reduce administrative costs. Why separate number and the bill doesnt come to home everymonth. or the communication letters from town council doesnt have the number too. just tie with nric or hdb number makes much easier.

Apply through Giro first, takes about 2 months.
you can just use AXS to make payment, just Scan your NRIC

I also got my new place. my giro is not activated yet. so still paying thru AXS

During the second appointment you will receive a letter from HDB and the letter will be needed to open accounts with TC and SP Services.

No issues with waiting but I thought TC said they don't send bills since the S&CC amount is the same every month so we should know how much to pay?

Thanks everyone for your advice. Called up town council and they said no need to go down with HDB letter. Turns out they already have my records so I just need to pay at AXS or online.

Turns on the town council reference number is the same as the so called HDB number which is the 11 digit one. Gee, wish their letter was more clear and they did not assume everyone has moved house countless times and know.

Never knew that. In my case, I didn't bother about paying TC until they sent me a bill or rather a reminder. Then I pay.

Well that's the irony. TC said they do not send bills as the monthly S&CC is the same so you should know how much to pay. :s22:

What they forget is some of us buy resale flats so even if I check from website how much to pay, I still need to know the pro-rated amount for the month I move in as the seller pays up to completion date and I take over from there.

If they want us to pay, why not send a bill? Why wait for our bill to be in arrears for 2 months before sending reminder? :s8:
