Hi all,

Need your help.

I lost the original USB key and now need to restore my late 2010 macbook Air.

Can i use my snow leopard DVD with an external drive to do the restoration?

Or can I use my soft copy OSX Lion which I have stored in my extrenal HDD to do a clean install?

Pls help. Thanks.

Your lucky day.
Fire up Software Update, you should be prompted for an EFI update.
If you're on M1 or Starhub you should be able to use the Internet Recovery.

1. EFI update for what?

2. Why on M1 or starhub can use Internet recovery? Me on Singtel.

I am planning to try restoring the set using a Lion USB. Hopefully it works.

1.The EFI update would enable you to use Internet Recovery.
2. Singtel has issues using Internet Recovery.

Yes the Lion USB should work.
Good Luck.

Settled. Created a Lion USB key and restored using this USB key. Quite a simple process.
