i thought i am the one who still use old cpu, but got people older than me.

i using 4th gen i5 cpu, havent change yet. last time saw march this year IT show want to change end up never change. still dk if want to change, the games i play are those like 2d that kind, can suffice my needs.
sometimes wonder get new pc also wont be as lasting as this current pc.

only boot up and loading slow cause using hdd, need to take around 10-15 mins to load finish things in windows then can use. lazy change ssd, also dont want to waste money too. scarly take out hardware then got dai chi inside, scared, so leave it as it is. rather use the money to get new pc

For Win 10 at least Intel 4th gen CPU and motherboard cuz got proper driver support.
intel 3rd gen with Z77 or H77 motherboard by right doesn't support Win 10.
At least for Win 10 must get 16GB, DDR3 RAM nowadays are rare.

So chances for the RAM so spoil are very high.

Ya I'm surprised nothing spoit.. directly above the psu was my soundblaster card lol. The psu exploded with a small-medium flame(bottom mounted psu with fan facing up so could see the fire), possibly from blown caps, flame extinguished on its own. My whole room had white smoke and smell of burnt electronics for the whole day
Thought bottom mounted psu usually have it's fan vent facing the bottom exhaust outlet? You mounted it facing up?

can hoot the legendary 2500k also

All this are for nostalgia reason only. The difficulty is finding spare parts to keep the PC alive. Like high capacity 4GB DDR3 is rare.

I moved my PC to 8th and 9th gen core i5 because they still have many years of life with them and are cheap to have...2nd hand of course. On the rare occasion, can get some cheap H310M motherboard brand new at S$80 across the causeway to continue running them for another 5 - 7 years if their motherboards died...

I still can revive a i3 3200 Intel CPU with it's gigabyte motherboard... With new CMOS battery, PSU and etc... but what's the value doing that when I can have the dirt cheap i5 9400 ?
