Last time win League Cup was a big thing already.
Not only did they win that, Clough's first trophy at Forest, they beat Liverpool to it. Then beat Liverpool to the league title and then ended Liverpool's European Cup reign in the first round (1st ever tie between 2 English sides in the top trophy) In 6 months all this happened enroute to a then record breaking 42 games unbeaten (1 full season - not calendar year). Liverpool was the only team capable of beating them and eventually ended that 42 game run

Clough and Mourinho are alike. Both were 42 when they won the CL, both won the League Cup as well the League. Both have 2 European Cups. Clough won the League with 2 different clubs, Jose won the CL with 2 different clubs.

Both had/have a lot to say and the press love their words..

23 years seems like a long time go

and for a club tt was in the bottom rung of the table when they appt Steve Cooper as head coach, amazing they got promoted finally.

Will probably go back down next season if they don't spend well.

Same challenge for all newly promoted side.

with the windfall, they also cannot suka spend like there's no tomorrow in the event they drop straight back down.

think some of the watford/burnley players can consider gg there.

A lot of difference going down as a Prem side.

Burnley went down pretty quick 1st time but came back up
Norwich are the current yoyo club
Watford repeatedly do this as have Fulham.

But looking at the side and if they get good players or retain most I think they might be able to fight with Leeds Fulham Bournemouth maybe Southampton Brighton Brentford Palace and who knows Everton to stay up.

Just need to better 3 of these clubs. Not an impossibility if you look at quality.

We did spank Arsenal and Leicester and gave Liverpool a real fight

But the 1 advantage which few realize is that the owner also owns Olimpiacos now record 47th time Greek Champions.

This allows the club to sell on players or offload them or get some

And he knows how to run a club.
