what engineering ... those who graduate engineering are glorified technicians, course so difficult to pass and pay so little.

pay lower than those in financial institutes.

my side fresh grads getting $6k-$6.5k, mostly from overseas uni as young as 23yo.

Think in other places, especially those developed ones perhaps, even low level technician also pays better then engineer here. Incumbent control so tight, like to skew the economy and society in somewhat very twisted way, then turn around blame the people.

(moi coy tho is tech mnc, got engineering dept.... I see so less NTU/nus/local grads)

Think if go some places see, some engineers are doing like close to dip job. The title engineer sound good but that's because other places make it sound good. Local ones are like deg level bangla, simi sai kang also kio. Perhaps its why incumbent say locals lack of or no talent. No platform to perform also.

The hard truth is engineer they will employ jhk pinoy tiong banwo d country etc at half the price.

They also come in as senior because sinkie male 2 year ns already disadvantage.

Doesn't help that the starting pay sucks and most engineering moving out of sg to jb and so on

Only kum lan will study.

Very simple. Just watch talking point with steve. They always send thing to lab to test. Most of the time the lab is run by non sinkie and they probably pay thru the nose

Got offered ntu aerospace engineering

Go for their open house and lecturer acts very stuck up cos straight a course mah, tore my offer and did something else
