That S$34.90 per month without router is for M1 10Gbps plan.

The S$36.90 per month with Archer BE805 in-store offer is for M1 6Gbps plan. But I will say this is a better deal than the 10Gbps ONT without router offer at S$34.90 per month.

On the other hand, previous M1 6Gbps offer price was lower at S$34.90 per month with free Archer BE805. It was even lower at S$32.90 per month for some targeted recontract users (offers given around 22 Jan 2025 and 22 Feb 2025, and maybe later).

maybe i should wait till Jan or Feb before thinking about recontract.. haha

anyway thank you very much for the information.

Hi, is there any way to get waiver for ont installation when recontracting to 3gbps? Cos ont installation is $100+ for weekend appointment.

but when orange become purple, prices will increase again i guess

I tend to think the monthly plan price may not increase, but the bundled router may get worse. Take note SIMBA 10G plan offers a lower end D-Link 10G capable WiFi 7 router compared to M1 6Gbps.

The combined M1/SIMBA may offer more plans without router, like the current M1 10Gbps plan at S$34.90 per month without a router. This can be a good thing in reality, as that gives the user more flexibilities.

should be free..

this is what stated on their website for 3 / 6 / 10 Gbps plans.
"Free ONT Activation for all time slots (worth up to $123.41)"

i recontract in Feb 2025. ONT installation / activation on Saturday.. no additional charges.
perhaps u want to check with their CSO?

Interesting trends of the pricing of M1 XGS-PON based plans.

a) The price of 6Gbps plan with free router bundle (free TP-Link Archer BE805 initially, later also can choose Asus RT-BE92U) keeps increasing.

b) 10Gbps plan pricing keeps decreasing. However, in reality, the real effective pricing in the latest offering actually goes back to the early 2025 pricing --> the pair of Asus ZenWiFi BT10 will add S$21 to your monthly pricing to make it S$55.90 per month.

On the other hand, offering plans without router bundling is a good thing. It gives the user the flexibility to choose the router they want to use.

c) Recontract offer seems to get worse.

1, M1 early 2025 pricing:

This was the time that some M1 users got S$32.90 per month 6Gbps recontract offer.

2. M1 mid-2025 pricing

3. M1 current pricing (Oct 20205)

Take note you can still get S$36.90 per month for M1 6Gbps plan if you go to M1 store for sign-up (new user).

Take note you may still be able to get S$29.50 per month pricing for M1 3Gbps plan if you got the rebate of S$3.40 for recontract (existing users)

Saw previous page before that some users are experiencing disconnection from time to time but not able to figure that out. I'm also having similar issue but to no solutions... Anyone has a solution for it?

Both. BE805. Called M1 and they mentioned they are able to see the disconnected logs for Router and ONT.

Been experiencing it twice for this month already, CSO told me might be fiber patch cord? Dk smoking me or not since it’s new.

If ONT got disconnect, then indeed it could be the Fibre Patch Cord if there is no issue from M1 side. You may want to ask them to come to check both the Fibre Patch Cord and the ONT.

Thought so, i would think the likelihood of a failing ONT would be higher than of a fiber patch cord. Is there a way to access the ONT to perform reset or update?

You'd better ask M1 to have a visit to check.

As for Fibre Patch Cord, indeed it can be an issue, as per the reports from Starhub thread. The early batche of Nokia XS-240X-A often came with a sub-standard fibre patch cord. Initially Starhub replaced both the ONT and the fibre patch cord. Later they just replaced the fibre for unstable ONT issue reported.

I would expect Huawei to have better product quality than Nokia China, but it is still better to check.

Will do so if connection still drops out. Any fiber patch cord to recommend? I’ll get one to replace and monitor.
