The name already tells what you look for to compare.
Equivalent models would also be rated AC2600 :s12:

It looks like a cousin of the RT-AC85U, but with more RAM (256MB vs 128MB).

oh wow, M1 is now giving this router from now on, instead of AC1200. Good to have an upgrade. But bad news, it will soon flood the market. Just like the AC1200, Carousell has tons of people selling but can't be sold even at $50.

I am using RT-AC68U..

From data it looks like this new router is a upgrade from my current router?
Yet to due for recontract, so is it worth to go buy 1 from carousel to replace?

Not bad news for those who want to buy the router I guess?

Yes. AC68U is Ac1900. If your router still working well, then it's better you wait.

I’m going to recontract Starhub fibre and they going to give me Linksys EA8100. Is it good enough or i shld buy this Asus RT-AC2600 and setup myself?

Im going to get Linksys Velop mesh to broadcast wifi and wired connection to my TV and PC. While the router i wanna put it inside the DB Box.

If it's going to be inside the box, wifi performance shouldn't matter much.

Will this router work well with Singtel fibre? i'm intending maybe get one off carousell to replace my Singtel AC Plus. I am not on Mio TV and my digital phone line is connected to my ONT so I guess shouldn't be a problem changing to this right?

You just need one of the RT-AC2600 users to feedback whether the router has VLAN presets for SingTel ONT.

If you are using ONR, than any router can also do the job.
