Transfer will close next week. No signing will be difficult to get into top 4. Most of the Man Utd targets may end up joining other clubs.

Declan Rice will cost at least £100 million & there is no guarantee he will be successful if Man Utd signed him. Look at those high transfer fee players that Man Utd had signed: Lukaku, Pogba, Maguire & Sancho. Lukaku already no longer with Man Utd because he was not suitable. Pogba will be leaving for free. Maguire is slow & mistake prone. Sancho under performed as he only scored 1 goal.

If want to sign a good defensive midfielder it will be better to look at those players who are playing in Europe. They are strong & fast. You need strong players to be able to tackle. For £30 to £50 million can get a good defensive midfielder from an European club.

We can only hope that United's lack of movement in the January market doesn't turn out to be a huge mistake.

Given the number of top midfielders out there whose contracts are set to expire this summer, it'll be disappointing if United don't make a last-ditch attempt to freshen up their squad.

A place in the top four is an absolute must this season and United fans have just got to hope we're not left looking back at January as the month where our campaign truly fell apart.

Definitely a big mistake if Man Utd doesn't sign a defensive midfielder this month because will not get into the top 4.

PAUL POGBA is open to staying at Manchester United - if Ralf Rangnick remains as boss.

The midfielder has been so impressed with the new Red Devils manager during a number of talks with him that he is ready to make u-turn rather than leave the club on a free in the summer.

But the manager’s vision of the future and the part Pogba can play in it at United has won over the player.

Now Rangnick has started to convince the four-time Serie A winner that he can build a midfield and indeed a team around him.

Rangnick also believes Pogba could prove a galvanising force behind the scenes.

The club have gone tired of the ongoing Pogba saga and resigned themselves to allowing his deal to run out in the summer when he can leave on a free.

Still, both sides could yet be brought back together if Pogba can enjoy a good last four months of the season and clicks with Rangnick as he now believes he can.

Then for him it will be about whether Rangnick stays on as manager.

If he stays it is because he wants a big contract. His agent is now too sick to find him a new club.

Manchester United must complete a key midfield signing to strengthen their squad in the winter transfer window and time is running out.

Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara has been in the focus for some time and the latest reports suggest that Man Utd have the edge to secure his signing.

Marseille are currently third in the table and have the best defensive record in the league. In 21 games, they have only conceded 16 goals and Kamara has been rock solid for them. The holding midfield starlet has started 15 games in the league thus far and helped the team keep no fewer than 9 clean sheets.

To get his signing done this month, a fee of at least 10 million euros (£8.3million) would be required (Marca).

Or rather no club want to pay his high wages and get little return from him in the game...

Barcelona & Real Madrid are rebuilding with younger players. You think they will want him. He is already 28 yrs. Only Man Utd is stupid enough to still want him when it will be better to sign younger players in their early 20s.

Thomas Tuchel has urged Chelsea to beat Manchester United to the signing of Aurelien Tchouameni ‘at all costs’.

Tchouameni has emerged as one of the finest young talents in European football in the last year, starring for Monaco and the France international team.

Aurelien Tchouameni could be the next Kante.

Lampard is the top contender to be Everton new manager. Rooney turned down interview for the Everton manager job.

Amad Diallo made the perfect start to his time on loan at Rangers as he scored with virtually his first touch for his new club.

The Manchester United youngster made the move to the Scottish Champions earlier in the week as he moved north of the border for the remainder of the season.

He was thrown straight into the action as Giovanni van Bronckhorst named him in the starting line-up to take on Ross County on his debut, and he couldn’t have made a better start to his time with the Glasgow giants.

Amad struck just four minutes into his first start for the club, tapping in at the far post from Joe Aribo to send the travelling Rangers supporters wild.

Amad is better than Sancho.

Rangnick seems to be able to put players in their best playing positions. Pogba & Fred are attacking players. These 2 shouldn't defend.
Lol pogba played so many position for United under Mou and Ole.

Sometime he must play from the back (newcastle game), sometime he is better in more attacking position.....

Just like marsiao he should play on the left etc..

Donny to palace. At least he will get more play time there. He can never displace our midfield stalwarts mctominiesta and fredinho.
