Gonna repeat in what I posted in EDMW football thread

Kudos to ETH for getting this far even with this kind of thin and crap squad that he inherited. Top 3, Carabao, qualified for UCL and FA Cup final.

He called for an overhaul. Management didn't listen. He had 5 new players and 2 January loans.

Now that he has qualified for UCL, he now has more balls to call out the current management and ask them to speed up the transfer talks, which the management did.

Why? Because regardless of which new owner will take over the club, they knew someone will get the axe. So they now wayang and talk to potential players. I don't even see this during past transfer windows.

One thing we know Kim Min-jae and Mason Mount are interested in coming to the club.
This same squad without or almost same squad was fighting for treble or quadruple under Ole. Too much credit given to ETH imho really. RR made him look good lol.

This squad was still playing boring football week in and out. without Rashy sudden form, doubt this United side will finish 3rd 😆

look how bad the whole squad is, can't even have a decent shot on city goal.

My bad then... :( My point is United was finishing 2nd and 3rd under Ole. Even Mou time.

So dunno why ETH finishing 3rd is so special. Because got carabao cup and FA runner up?

cos Mou said that 2nd place was a very big achievement cos of “ toxic” environment

for Ole, some said it happened during covid.

from my perspective,,, all were Great achievements under the 3 mgrs

later glazers troll fans saying they are not selling but only looking to cash in on minority stakes.

you forgot sancho. don't think he is good.

From 5th to 3rd is improvement compared to the previous season.
Winning the Caraboa is improvement compared to the previous season.
Total 2 improvements compared to the previous season. Next season either improve further or decline.

Without penalty Man City would win by 2-0. Think if played another 90 mins Man Utd still wouldn't be able to score from open play. Couldn't score means couldn't score no matter played how long. Stats showed Man Utd had 13 shots. Give them 30 shots still would miss.
if 2-0 i think is a good result, we are definitely few gear behind them.

main problem is glazers which is why utd need to loan a goalless striker. not enough squad depth as they are only concerned about putting money into their own pockets.

furthermore it is hard to do transfer especially in jan window where most clubs do not want their players to leave. let's see this coming transfer window if glazers will provide money to buy a proper striker.
I get that he prob thought he can train Weghorst to score and he is readily available for free. But after 6 months and seeing that he can't score and even missed a big sitter in his previous match but still insist to sub him in on a cup final when we are chasing a goal, just shows how reckless/clueless he can be at times. And it's not the first time that looks like he has given up on a match with the way he sub players in and made results even worst than it should be. Just wondering what is he saving Pellistri for? Pre season friendly tour in the US? The next World Cup? Or he don't want to risk injuring him else the Paraguayan Fans won't make the short trip across the borders to watch the friendlies?
The guy has been good every few minutes of opportunity he gets on the field. With Antony injured, he would have been a good alternative on the right but instead Bruno is used over there. For 6 months he rather train and give more opportunities to a 30 year old goalless striker rather than one of his youngsters.

let's see if we are gonna get a striker if we do end up spending a bombshell amount on Mason Mount who Chelsea is asking for around 70 million.

What to complain when losing to a better team, miracle only happens once in a blue moon.

Garnacho should have started because he is better than Sancho. Everyone who had seen both players this season will be able to tell the difference who is better than the other.

Erik Ten Hag is a very good coach and it was evident today regardless of the result. I have watched a lot of City games and I have not seen them resort to delay. It’s amazing what he has done this season, I looked at City’s bench and at that if United and wow, we have got absolutely nothing on the bench. Manchester United under this guy are a few players away from being a top, top team. A ball playing goal keeper is needed cos De Gea is actually hopeless at that. An energetic press resistant midfielder, a cover for Casemiro and two strikers. United should probably sell most of the players in that squad.

United have a lot of “spineless” players. Players who go missing at the big stage, Sancho, Eriksen, Varane to an extent and Weghoust. I saw why ETH wants Mount, Eriksen was non existent, he should be the lowest rated player of the match.

At least half the players who started against Man City disappeared. Martial & Antony didn't play. They would also disappear if they played against Man City. This is the reason always lose to these top teams in away games.
