Erik ten Hag is preparing to jet off on holiday to relax and unwind before taking on the mammoth task of turning Manchester United back into Premier League title contenders.

And in anticipation of what he knows will be a stressful period, the Dutchman is going on holiday to recharge first.

"It's time to turn the switch now," said Ten Hag, following Ajax's final game of the campaign, which finished level against Vitesse. "It's something that is needed because there is a lot to take care of and I have the energy for it."

Erik ten Hag has canceled his summer holidays in order to get to work with Manchester United.

The incoming manager has terminated his contract with Ajax six weeks early and is now getting started as United manager.

Ten Hag has refused to jet off on holiday and unwind before taking on the mammoth task of turning Manchester United back into Premier League title contenders.

Ralf Rangnick will take charge of just one last match at Old Trafford on the final day of the season when Man United travel to London to play Crystal Palace before the curtain comes down on a woeful campaign.

Erik ten Hag has revealed he will not be travelling with Ajax to their end-of-season trip to Curacao because he wants to dedicate his time and focus to Manchester United. The Dutchman took charge of his final game with the Eredivisie champions on Sunday afternoon as Ajax finished the campaign with a 2-2 draw at Vitesse.

But Ten Hag has decided he will no longer be in attendance as he prepares to embark on his new challenge in the Premier League.

He said: "Tomorrow there will be a party with the [Ajax] staff, but I am not going to Curaçao [a Dutch Caribbean island].

Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren will be part of new Man United coaching staff, confirmed. Full agreement at final stages and set to be signed with both of them. #MUFC

Official statement for McClaren to join United could be next week, as @MrStephenHowson reports.

Manchester United have been handed a double boost in their transfer pursuit of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.

As reported by The Athletic, Nunez would command a fee of £51million (€60m) this summer – significantly lower than had been previously suggested. This news is likely to delight United and any other suitors as it means that the Uruguayan suddenly becomes attainable financially.

Nunez was one of the stars of this season’s Champions League and most notably in the group stage victory over Barcelona, where the striker bagged a brace in the 3-0 win over the Catalan side. His biggest goal came in the Round of 16 win over Ajax, before scoring in both legs of the quarter-final against Liverpool – in which Benfica were defeated 6-4 on aggregate.

when they got a big lead
most of the time they can just cruise to the title
when opponent is within reach behind them, they tend to crumble.
that's why i say weak mentality
city defence is never rock solid... like impenetrable fortress. the reason their defence looks so "good" because they have the ball most of the time. hardly need to do much defence. when they are not having the ball. they are getting exposed.

i have said it time after time, this ederson is bang average keeper. if he have the same shitty defence infront of him like DDG have, i guarantee ederson will concede 3x more.
