Ten Hag was seen shaking hands with Swedish defender Victor Lindelof, and seems to have formed a bond with the centre-back already.

The handshake was an extra long one, with Ten Hag seemingly impressed by what he had seen from his new player.

Ten Hag is renowned for being an excellent man-manager, and Lindelof could become a player who really thrives under him, even in the face of high competition at centre-back.

Donny van de Beek is the one Manchester United player with experience training under Erik ten Hag at Ajax. That doesn’t make it any easier.

Van de Beek looked exhausted as he came off the training pitch and was asked to say a few words for the camera. He could just about manage a smile and a nod.

This clip is best listened to with the sound on, with Ten Hag’s voice clearly and authoritatively giving instructions to the players on how he wants them to pass and move.

He is not messing about, and wants his players to learn. That’s great to see; these players will learn a lot mentally as well as physically from working under him.

The silence on the training ground as Ten Hag gives his instructions shows a clear respect towards him from the players.

Chelsea are monitoring developments around Frenkie de Jong and could target the Barcelona midfielder if his move to Manchester United breaks down.

Chelsea watched De Jong closely before he left Ajax for Barcelona in 2019 and Thomas Tuchel, the head coach, admires the 25-year-old. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea plan to follow up on their interest, though a deal for De Jong could prove more straightforward than attempting to buy West Ham’s Declan Rice.

Just match Man Utd amount. Frenkie de Jong wants to play in the CL so he will most likely agree to join Chelsea. Deal can be completed within 3 days.

Manchester United have made an offer of around £39m for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez, claim reports.

That is the news coming from a number of different sources, including the Manchester Evening News and 90mins. The former report that United had shortlisted Villarreal’s Pau Torres and Braga defender David Carmo, but Erik ten Hag would rather pursue familiar faces.

The latter claim a bid of £37m (€43m), potentially rising to £38.8m (€45m) with add-ons, has been put on the table.

Van Der Kraan said (via Sport Witness): “Lisandro Martinez is very high on Erik ten Hag’s wishlist. So I expect big developments in the 24 or 48 hours.”

Van Der Krann also claims Martinez has been wooed by following his old boss to Old Trafford and has “pinned his hopes” on a move to United.

Manchester United have promised Frenkie de Jong he will be their ‘key player’ in midfield for Erik ten Hag, according to reports. The 25-year-old has been reluctance to leave Barcelona for Old Trafford. However, it’s looking increasingly likely a transfer will take place that will see the Netherlands international move to the Premier League.

Every player that Man Utd signed will be told he is a key player. Every player that started in the game will be told he is a key player. :s13:

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly dropped a bombshell on Manchester United, telling the club it is time for him to leave.

According to The Times, Ronaldo is unhappy that he will not be playing in the Champions League next season, with United only qualifying for the Europa League - a competition he has never played in.

As a result, Ronaldo reportedly told the Old Trafford club that he wants to be allowed to leave should a suitable offer come in for him.

The report adds that Ronaldo is confident he still has three or four years left in him at the very top level and wants to represent a team capable of winning trophies.

A club capable of winning trophies may not want him. :s13:

The way things are.. who wants to join the club? The club is being poorly manage.. they can't even manage to sign a player till date.. The management was totally dumb to turn down conte. I still think he is a top manager with experienced and with a proven record. Now I think he will improved Spurs like never before.. Not even sure this ten hag can manage well or not.. this is a level up for him coming from the Dutch league.. sadly.. too many mistakes made.

They will join, for a huge paycheck, with MU on the CV, easier to find the next club.
