Does Zero1 still have any problems receiving OTPs from Banks or Financial Institutions?

I guess depending on your number, i port from ST-SH-M1-redone-myrepublic-vivifi-zero1-tpg, never faced this issue before

Ah ok so “existing” phone numbers should be ok right?

i have a family member who is porting in from circles life to zero1 and has been getting all the sms otp while on circles life without issue.

was worried it might mess up but should be ok from your experience I guess?

i did sign up a new number for myself but that’s just for spare data / wireless hot spotting so even if sms otp messes up it’s fine.

From what I googled a bit, if a number has issues, zero1 just needs to do some backend setting to add your number to the “sms register” something like that.

Map navigation will still work even if there is no mobile network, it will be just slower getting GPS fix.
The mobile networks helps to triangulate faster, that's all

Tested just now at my nearby TEL station underground with Zero1 Starter plan, because I was curious what's the highest throughput I can get. Pretty impressive. (Station was pretty much empty) I've never gotten such throughputs sitting at home.

Also tested with my current Circles plan, only managed around 100+M DL and similar for UL. (Both at home and MRT station)

let me know if my guess is correct.
If i just collect sim from post office, need do anything to activate it? I want my billing cycle to start on 1st/last of mth

Found out today that if you port out a number from zero1, you cannot port the same number back to zero1 for 3 months. Might want to keep this in mind when planning to port out & back to downgrade your plan.

So far based on experience so far with Zero1, mostly no issue, sometimes not so good.

Signal wise so far slightly better than Giga ( Starhub ) for my area of usage.
Lss instances phone switching to 3G but it's not that big of a difference most of the time.

I'm not sure if Zero1 is doing network throttling, I find that video streams tend to buffer more often.
This is happening before I even crossed 50% of my data bundle.

Will Vivifi yield any difference ?

For Zero1 invoice, I notice that it always shows 2 months (current plus next month) but they only charge credit card for 1 month.

Is this correct?

Thx.

I can confirm it shows the previous month ( that has been paid )
And it shows the next bill to be paid.

No need. Collect after 22nd should be fine Liao. Your billing cycle should start 1st same as me I believe.
SUCCESS! I collected on 23rd April (activated on 23rd April itself).

Then today 1st May, my talktime and data allowances all reset. I am on Billing Cycle 01!

Hi bro, how is underground like MRT compared to Giga?

Not much difference except for the video streaming buffering that occurs occasionally that I mentioned. Which is a bit annoying when I'm trying to skip parts of a video. Not sure due to network throttling or insufficient capacity.

Sounds good. I'm thinking of getting a number for office work and my personal number stays personal.

I'll probably use it mostly for meetings, conversation between colleagues (not watching videos). Guess 5GB will be sufficient and it seems to be good even when throttled past 5GB.

I asked about connection reliability because it's work related, thanks.
