mass market tea bags contain more tea dust rather than tea leaves.

tea bags usually use the lowest of the low quality leaves for mass production. Even those branded ones, they just add flavour during the roasting/frying/drying process to make it 'exotic'

For example, boh tea/lipton tea, they do sell loose leaves and tea bags version in supermarket. taste-wise is definitely different

Kopitiams, hawkers and tea bags use tea leaves too, just the different types and quality..m

i dunno abt ah kun, never patronize those atas shop, anyway from my observation with hk 茶餐厅, firstly maybe their tea leaves is of a better quality? ( dunno), but one shop i saw was they like to brew their tea with that " sock filter " thingy then they will transfer the whole lot into a big kettle and the tea is serve from that big kettle. singapore kopi diam is they keep adding water into that original batch of tea and then keep diluting what ever left with water...yuck all came out majam blend like water.

Teabag inside is tea leaf wan... u mean tea powder? I think coffeeshops use tea powder... i like that type of tea which tastes totally different from the tea that u get by using teabags...
