I ordered my replacement power brick from here.
https://sg.element14.com/

My nas died and the power brick won*********t turn on. The led on the brick does not have any light. So I hope it*********s just the brick that*********s spoilt and not the nas itself.

Once I get this fixed, I need to rethink my back up options. All
My photos and documents are in the nas.

Thanks for the site.

Odd. All one shot have power brick issue?

My brick was older tho since 2014.

Could be hit 5 years lifespan. Cause I asked a technical colleague he did say inside the brick there are capacitors that could bloat over time so probably that's what happened to my brick

Any bro have any idea what happened to my DS413? Suddenly received email notification saying my drives were removed and inserted when no one at home.

Did a reboot and now rebuilding the array now.. :(

My ds418 is on 64 hours auto On/Off schedule.
My previous ds414 is also on the same schedule too.
Both no issue for NAS and HDD.

Likely its the SATA adapters having issues - disks disconnecting & reconnecting thus the partition crash/rebuilding...

The NAS & HDD have limited life span, will go up lorry sometime down the road.

Owners should have plan to refresh both NAS & HDD 3-4 years after purchase.

The old ones can be sold off at Garages Sales or give away.

the previous time i RMA my NAS is due to this. However, if you slot the hdd in a computer, there will not be any issue.

The problem is with the NAS / SATA interface (in my case).
