The problem is i never buy from non local seller as i am worry i may get a spoilt one. I prefer to buy from Local Seller so there is warranty on the product. I have thunderbolt 4 on my laptop.

If you are sure to have Thunderbolt 4 port, then you can buy those Thunderbolt 3 based 10Gbe adapter.

This is a local seller -- Memory World, at S$339. Or you can go to their physical shop in SIM LIM Square.

The other listing is more expensive at S$369.

HP support told me it has two Thunderbolt 4. Thank you so much. I will try the local store. I asked Starhub to activate the plan in January 2024 after the trial date. They are ok to do it so I believe 10Gbps is a confirmed thing. Now they offer 10Gbps internet and 10Gbps Homehub at good price.

Thanks for the reports.

Yes I believe Starhub/MR 10Gbps will get rid of the trial status soon.

And it is good to know that Starhub has reduced the Homehub 10Gbps price.

It is interesting to read Starhub's reason to use ONR for the 10Gbps plan.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/how-to/ultraspeed-optical-network-router-guide.html

What is the WiFi Optical Network Router?
The Nokia 10Gbps Optical Network Router (WiFi ONR) is a next-gen model that performs exceptionally well with an UltraSpeed subscription.

It offers 1x 10G LAN port, 3x 1G LAN ports, WiFi 6 Mesh support, and a total combined bandwidth of up to 6,000 Mbps – that’s 43% more than the average router.

How exactly are these routers different?
Unlike regular routers, the ONR allows fibre optic cables to be directly connected to it, thereby skipping the need for a modem. Simply put, this means fewer checkpoints for your data to pass through between your devices and the digital cloud, resulting in faster overall speeds.

I do not remember the exact number, but it was above S$100 (maybe S$110+) for Homehub UltraSpeed. Henry may know better. (Edit: Henry mentioned that it was much higher at S$164 per month).

The following Starhub Ad in Hardwarezone actually says the usual price is at S$219.90 per month.
https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/tec...hank-you-switching-starhub-ultraspeed-network

For a limited time only, don’t miss out on enjoying over $5,000 worth of savings with the HomeHub+ UltraSpeed bundle that includes UltraSpeed 10Gbps Broadband, Premier League, Netflix Premium, Disney+, Amazon Prime and more at only S$87.96/month (U.P S$219.90/month)!

BTW, the initial listed price for Starhub Ultraspeed Fibre Broadband was S$119.90 per month early this year, but I think they offered at a lower price of S$99.90.

Hi Guys, May i know anyone using Singtel 10Gbps broadband? how's the experiences like? Is the ZTE modem's 10G LAN ports capable of Multi-Gigabit speeds, such as auto negotiation for 2.5G or 5G? Or are they strictly fixed at a 10G interface?

Hey Henry, two questions.
  1. What is everything included in your HomeHub? E.g. 10Gbps Broadband, TV, Digital Voice (Home, if any), TV à la carte and streaming services.
  2. For how much per month?
Thank you!

It was $164/mth but now i got it at $87.96/mth. It has the 10Gbps internet, digital phone, entertainment+ which is the English TV Show, Asia+ for Chinese and Japanese and Korean TV Show, Sport+ and Premier+ (Premier League). It also have 4 Apps, Netflix premium and Disney+ Premium, Viu Premium and BBC Player for 24 months and Prime Video for 3 months. I think it is value for money as Netflix Premium and Premier+ already quite expensive if you are to sign up yourself. Second TV pass can be other language TV pass.

@xiaofan Thank you!

Damn, good on you. This is a bloody good deal sans the use of an ONR. They're basically throwing in the bulk of their TV and third-party streaming services.

Breakdown
Hardware
  • Nokia 10Gbps Optical Network Router (ONR WiFi)
  • Free 24 months TV+ Pro (Android TV Box)
Broadband
  • 10Gbps Broadband
TV
  • Premier+ (Premier League)
  • Sports+ (Sports)
  • Entertainment+ (English)
  • 1 Ethnic TV+ Pass, e.g. Asian+ (Chinese/Korean/Japanese)
OTT Streaming Services / Extras
  • BBC Player (Complimentary of Entertainment+)
  • Disney+
  • Netflix
  • Additional service / channel (Complimentary of Ethnic TV+ pass, e.g. Viu Premium for Asian+)
  • Free Amazon Prime / Prime Video for 3 months
Digital Voice
  • Digital Voice Home Phone Line
I've criticized Starhub on occasions, but if you and/or your household uses said services and don't mind ONR, it's a no-brainer. Jialat, recently re-contracted to a lesser plan, might give Starhub Sales a call.

True they are trying to ask people to sign by throwing the App as a promotion. I just read on D-Link Site that USB type c to 2.5G adaptor can actually support up to 4.6Gbps on full-duplex.

Had Singtel 10Gbps installed at home last Saturday and after initially testing with Speedtest in the Asus router software and getting ~3500Mpps up and down I was a bit surprised, but apparently Speedtest from Ookla via browser has a max of ~3500Mpbs. Tech did get 8000Mpbs up and down via the desktop app.

Wifi with S23U 1500Mbps down and 1Mpbs up last time I tested.

Consider very good as it is beyond 1Gbps standard speed.

The starhub deal is pretty good? I'm currently paying more than $100 for the same services but on 1gbps with Singtel.
May want to switch over even though I can't fully utilise the 10 gbps since it's actually cheaper than what I'm paying currently.

No need to worry about the SpeedTest within Asus router -- Asus router CPU is just too slow to handle the SpeedTest.

No need to worry about browser SpeedTest results either.

As long as your desktop OOkla SpeedTest app can reach 8Gbps up/down, then you are fine already.

As for wireless, that is a decent speed for WiFi 6 Client -- you get the higher side speed for typical 2x2 WiFi 6 client (with 160MHz channel bandwidth). Anything above 1.4Gbps will be considered very good.

Only WiFi 7 router and 2x2 WiFi 7 320MHz WiFi clients will get above 3Gbps.
