Hey, just to check has anybody received their NYP DAE results mine application still "receiving attention" hais abit scared~~

My one also "Receiving Attention".
But my wife already got her posting and enrollment completed before 24 March last month.

Have submitted the application on 25th Mar 2014.

Till now, I only see "Receiving Attention"....

So far I have yet to receive any results from SP and NYP...

Nope, I have received an email from Singapore Poly for my DAE application informing me I have been offered Diploma In Computer Engineering and course starts on 21 Apr. I have already gone down to SP to collect the enrollment package. Their enrollment will be closing on 10 Apr, so not receiving news from SP at this time is not good news.

Each Poly process and offers their courses to applicants and complete enrollment at different dates, so it is not surprise to see the DAE application results releasing on different dates.

Its not no chance but not good news..
Anything can still happens if the application is still stated "receiving attention" or "in process"...just that I believe the main DAE selection has already been finished for most applicants but there are still some courses available, students enroll earlier but decided to opt out or change courses...so there is still hope..

But that is just my opinion..

Anyway I just called both poly, they said the release will be either tomorrow or early next week. Finger X-ing...

Thought SP accepted you? SP is better than TP in term of the engineering course.

But I want IT courses...
My number 1 choice is NP Diploma In Network Systems & Security, but engineering maths is my weakling....anyway, there is no possible and no way I can get in to this course now...

Just want to update if you all did not know already;

If your DAE application status in NYP is still "Receiving attention", then you are on their waiting for a course. (Meaning: All your choices are not successful at first try, you are put in waiting list if some one withdraw or change course.) I have called NYP to ask about it and this is what NYP says.

If your status are still like mine, then chances are mostly likely to appeal as the chances of getting one is very slim now if you are not at the top of the waiting list.

I am not sure of appealing but for my case even if appeal also no point de.., almost no chance for 2nd timer for Poly....

I find it very strange that for both Diploma In Computer Engineering in SP and Diploma In Engineering Informatics in NYP cut of point is very close but I got offered for the SP (2nd choice) but not for NYP (1st choice).. Perhaps if I put NYP as 2nd choice in the DAE application, I would have already been awarded it....

People may wonder why the heck I rejected the offer from SP then, because it is an engineering course with not much in terms of networking, IT management and system administration modules on it which I think I can do well with..

I am still considering if I should appeal or study part-time diploma now.

wah, reminds me of my times around 10 years ago, i understand how u guys feel

my case was i was an ex student in nyp, then i reapplied next year nyp rejected me, my o level score is more then decent to qualify for most of their courses.
the sole rejection reason was i am an ex student, till today still damm dulan

but luckily i have a backup plan, i applied for other poly, thankfully they took me in.

when i receive the rejection from nyp, i was quite worried actually. then ngee ann only called me close to the starting week that i am accepted, i think i was the last few lucky ones for DAE then.

For those who are in similar state, i suggest u must always have a backup plan, dont just apply for 1 poly, apply all even if via DAE. Coz by right DAE is quite low priority compared to joint exercise.

Good question but I guess it is NYP way of processing their application. I was told to wait till end of this week (to see if any student withdraw) but I have already given up hope to be honest.

I will try to enroll myself to the NYP part time diploma in Infocomm and digital media (networking and system admin) this year. Or I might try again next year.
