Hi Renfred89,

I just bought this router to go with the Singtel 1Gbps connection. It is just a plug and play set up. Very easy.

So far, I don't have any disconnection... but my query is whether they are settings that I need to individually configured to make it secure?

Of course. You can change the password of your wifi SSIDs and your advanced portal..

Thanks for the reply...

wifi SSIDs are the first 2 items that I changed...

But what can I do for the advanced portal... Just went to have a look and they have items I'm not familiar with... Any suggestion as to what should I do here or what should I change in this area?

Apologies if my questions sound weird, just a normal IT user and can get by with simple setting up....but always learning from you guys on more technical stuff.

Since you are not familiar with the advanced portal, then just change the password and user name will do. The settings just leave them untouched..

Here is the changelog:
- Fixed - Unable to enable/disable WPS on 2.4G GUI page
- Fix for USB LED not working issue.
- Wireless enhancement

Not sure what is the wireless enhancement though

Maybe they tweaked a bit of the 5Ghz stability..

So chim.. did u do a reset?

Check if your 5Ghz is still running on 80Mhz bandwidth or it has dropped to 20Mhz bandwidth?

Pleasant Aztech Service

Had the misfortune of suffering from power adaptor failure for the 7008 during the long national day holiday. Went to Aztech Service Centre first thing in the morning, thinking that there might be a long queque for service following the long weekend. Surprise that I was the only customer there. After telling the CSO my problem, he just took note of my name and telephone number without asking for the receipt. After that he took out a replacement without verifying the status of my adaptor (just took my words). I asked him to check my modem/router to see if it was still working. After connecting all the necessary he asked me whether I wanted him to do a firmware update, which would take 15 to 20 min. I accepted the offer without hesitation. While waiting the office lady brought in the Straits Times to keep me occupied.

All in all a pleasant rtm experience.
