went down Thursday, blood refused to flow out, reminder to self: need drink more water next time. Wait two weeks before go down again. Will be my 9th time.

Update: Really sad news, the friend who bought me to Outram to donate blood for first time in 1990 had pancreatic cancer and his ex-wife called a mutual friend tonight to go see him. Brother! Tong one more night, I go see you tomorrow!

Your blood is very gao? Or perhaps the nurse never poke properly? I've experience a few times, when nurse didn't poke well and end up have to defer another few weeks.

1st time refused to come out. i woke up drink some water and went liao, should drink more water. Nurse always got problem with my left vein, next round I will switch to right vein. I scare liao

Try right. If you cannot, you can try donating platelets like me. For me, when i switched over to platelets they draw from a different vein. But then, for platelet donation, you must let the nurse see your vein, ask them if your vein can or not. Not everyone can

She mentioned it has spread to all organs liao, the end is near bah. Should be palliative care now. It's up to her family to settle, i am outsider, cannot be I break the news to him.

it takes 60 to 90 mins.

For me, it's 90mins (1h 30min). There is a personal TV. Can donate once every 28-days. So can faster up tier, to get medals.

oh, what medal? I just donate and collect the blood buddy for fun, don't know anything else about medals.

Here is the list of medals. Every year, around June, Red Cross will organise world blood donor day and will invite donors to an event at MBS, and donors who have achieved a medal will be invited up stage to collect a medal from minister. I got my silver medal last year and i am 4 more donations away from Ruby.
