Both that I recommended, are tested and proven, very good lenses.

Not sure about the sigmas though.

how to check the lens ar??
other than physically, zoom must be smooth.
how bout the lens elements?

100mm macro will open up more things to shoot at (of course toys included)
you will be going around your house to take macro shots~

50/1.4 is a good walkaround.. do you have something similar to that already?

Sorry for the late thanks to all advice. I already got a 24-70mm 2.8l and somehow I don't feel the awesomeness when taking close up shots. That why I considering a macro lens wonder will it do wonders. Or is my skill got flaw. Haha
