When you mount your camera vertically, you can rotate your camera around the optical axis instead of dropping your camera to the side of your ball head.

Perspective won't change a lot also, at most very minute change only.

I have filled one up before, believe it or not. It holds 596 24Mp RAW images. Quite easy to fill if you spam shutter a bit. I filled 2x 32GB cards for the Singapore Night Festival in 2013 with about 1.2k shots. Of course, cleaning up was hell.

Oh definitely helps. I tested, also read up like crazy.

There's a table someone posted here that shows the distinct speed advantage of the Extreme Pros in the D7100.

Also an Amazon customer video review comparing the Lexar Professional 600x (80Mbps rating, or about the same as the Extreme Plus) with the Extreme Pro.

The video review is very telling.

Don't want to burst your bubble, but are you shooting non-compressed RAWs?

On a 36MP RAW, I average 1000+ on a 32GB Extreme and I have about 16 RAW buffer. My raw settings are 14bit, compressed.

You are doing extremely large prints? If not, compressed/non-compressed raws, you can't really tell the difference.

Ah. That would explain my big file sizes, :s34: But the buffer on the D7100 is ridiculously small. Though I love the camera quite a bit (and don't want to move up to the D800 for the even bigger file sizes and that I don't have a budget for more FF lenses for now). :s13:

I was using Lossless Compressed. :s34:
