I have used it before. imo not worth the hassle unless you like to clean your tank frequently..Ok. Will take a look.

under gravel very troublesome in maintenance and will tire you out
don't get it![]()
depends on what fish you intend to keepI have tried, overhead sump, hang on back, sponge, canister and internal filter.
Then I heard of UGF that needs minimum maintenance. Apparently is best to not touch it for years?
Not sure to go straight into 4 feet or better stick with under 3 feet as have been out of hobby for a few years. What do you guys think?
depends on what fish you intend to keep
for discus, it needs very clean water. suggest using a sump tank. easier to maintain also. imo 3 ft tank is good enough.Discus with neon tetra / Cardinal tetra and Cory. Planted tank.
Tank will be 29 or 30 degree for the discus.

never heard or seen an overhead sump before though. only seen sump below the tank.
do you intend to breed the discus or just keep for fun?Sorry. I mean overhead filter.
Never used sump before.
Will look into 3 feet tank.
Thanks

depends on the size plus filtration.. my uncle used to keep.. fed in morning and evenings. but he changed water every day.. smaller need to feed more I guess.Just keep for fun. Don't think I am that good yet.
How many times to feed discus a day?
Tank prices can vary widely. 3 feet tanks can range from Gex at around $130 to a few thousands, depending on thickness, requirements for cabinets or stands. Just a few links to get you started.

haha.. think it's ok if you keep the tank clean. like I said, there are those who change the water every dayMy juvenile discus is like a hungry ghost, can feed more than 4 times a day and generate a lot of poop.
Don't know is this normal.

check water quality also.. discus likes soft acidic water iirc.. which to me is a pain to maintain. haha. discus is one of the most fussy fishes that I know..Yes I am changing water almost daily.
30 to 60% depending on how much poop.
So far the fish is ok.
wah.. what brand? shouldn't be so expensive..New tank is really expensive... i eyeing a 4ft tank set that cost 1.7k
Gonna buy it after I lose another 50kg meeting my targeted weight as a gift for myself![]()
