Anwar was agreed upon by the Sultans. I think lesser issue for him to push through his policies.
Anwar was lucky cos Agong and Sultans are educated men. The King roped in other sultans to support him in his future tenures. I can said massive support.

The Kings knew malaysia have to get past race biased politics and create a multi racial with all races inside the government. That why they support Anwar even though Muyiddin quickly send 115 SD earlier than Anwar but still didn't get appointed.

If I am Anwar will invite Warisan GRS GPS and independents all to join the government and gather them to hamtum the PN.

The agong also not 'gong'. Might think that with PN as gov and PAS inside, this will scare of investors and drag down their economy. Which in turn will hurt their own pockets.

"Eh Bang, HSR swee boh?"
Going to have RTS for both countries soon..

I heard from the locals here in JB and from Anwar press release in the past a few years ago after the HSR agreement between SG and Malaysia was cancelled during Dr M as PM, Anwar said that HSR was for Malaysians in peninsula Malaysia and if Singaporeans wants to take that HSR must take from JB...

This agong is a very smart guy. So far everything he has done has been the right thing to do. His final act of getting the Kings' Council in was a brilliant move. He also made all these moves without the advice of the parliament and PM since they have been dissolved. Impressive

cos muyiddin is not simple to deal with. Anwar have the endorsement of all the Sultans. even now muyiddin really got 112 now also the sultans wun bother him.

Anwar got sultans' support. naturally the civil servants and people respect and accept the king decision.

Big credit go to the King. else now muyiddin still biting and arguing. Anwar still shaky. Today showdown is a grand one to install Anwar as the pm. Never in recent appointment of pm require all the Sultans to endorse a pm in this way. Cos Anwar is a opposition becoming an PM. Malaysia ushering in a new era of multi racial politics instead of bucking on the race in Parliament session when they start to argue.

PKR and DAP past 24 years instilling hated among the government and other parties till people cannot adjust not to F them in Parliament. Upcoming Parliament all gather will scold PN not to play with race and reglion cards and ask them get over and start making policies.

If one day a opposition leader won in Singapore as PM, I think need to ask president, Chief of defence force and Chief Judge stand behind to support and endorse him to be the new pm in City Hall.

Now everyone will take their magnifying glass to scrutinize his performance for 2023.

His first major obstacle ish Budget 2023. :s13:
I think he can handle it. He was a finance minister...I think in the past there were a couple financial magazines featured him as one of the best finance minister in this region...like Euroeconimy, money mind etcs..

LONDON SPEAKER BUREAU

Anwar Ibrahim is a prominent Malaysian politician who served as Deputy Prime Minister from 1993-98 and Finance Minister from 1991-98.

Since 1998 he has led Malaysia’s Justice Party in its mission to strengthen democracy and the rule of law in the country. Although he spent over eight of the last twenty years in detention as a political prisoner, his party achieved a historic electoral victory in the May 2018 Malaysian elections, shattering the ruling party’s 61-year hold on power. He was released from jail days after the election and granted a full pardon from politically motivated charges. Ibrahim is the Prime Minister in-waiting and is expected to take over leadership of the country within the next two years.

Anwar Ibrahim is highly respected for his principled stance against corruption and his skillful management of the Malaysian economy during the Asian financial crisis. He has called for bold reforms to Malaysia’s political economic system and believes an independent judiciary, free media and respect for the rule of law are cornerstones on which Malaysia’s economic strength can be expanded.

He also believes that public policy should not overlook the plight of the poor and marginalised while at the same time seeking to develop infrastructure, attract foreign investment and grow the economy. The multi-ethnic Justice Party that he leads has provided a template for how Malaysia’s diverse ethnic and religious groups can work together towards a common national objective.

Throughout his career Anwar Ibrahim has articulated a compelling argument in support of greater understanding between East and West. Ibrahim’s view is that a dialogue between civilisations is necessary and vital. In the Muslim world he is unique in his ability to communicate the complex issues confronting Muslim majority countries.

Anwar Ibrahim has been President of the UNESCO World Council, Chairman of the Development Committee of World Bank and International Monetary Fund, Honorary President of AccountAbility and Advisory Board member of the International Crisis Group. He was a Distinguished Visiting Professor and Malaysia Chair at the Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown. He has also taught at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and St. Antony’s College at Oxford, lecturing on issues of governance, democracy and contemporary politics in Southeast Asia.

Malaysian politician Anwar Ibrahim said on Saturday (Sept 15) that Singapore will be one of the first countries he visits when he becomes Prime Minister, stressing that the two countries need to forge strong bonds.

The de facto leader of the ruling Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition was asked to comment on bilateral relations between the neighbouring nations at a conference here.

"Singapore-Malaysia relations ... ada problem ke? (is there a problem)," he remarked, drawing laughter from hundreds of business and thought leaders gathered to hear him speak at the Singapore Summit 2018.

No wor. God Forbid even either Pritiam, TCB or CSJ won the endorsement from all oppies to become PM, the elected President since OTC all except Nathan was a former PAP MP.

Chief of Defence swore their alligance to President and Constitution of Republic of Singapore meaning CoD's answer should be the same as President.

2 v 1 (Chief Judge)

That could be the case in 2020 if PAP won just Jurong GRC (5), AMK GRC (5), Tanjong Pagar GRC (5), Sembawang GRC (5), Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC (4), Jalan Besar GRC (4), Kebun Bahru SMC (1), Yio Chu Kang SMC (1), Potong Pasir SMC (1), Mountbatten SMC (1), Pioneer SMC (1), Hong Kah North SMC (1) = 34 out of 93

Think no oppie party even contested more than 30 alone.
