Should cap the monthly income to purchase resale HDB?
Why do you think is necessary and how you suggest to do it ?

There’s 40 year old 5-rm flat selling at below $450k and there’s 3 years old 5-rm flat selling at $1.4m. There’s MSR + TDSR already in place to regulate resale HDB purchases. There’s already a sxxt load of rules/regulations to buy/sell/rent a resale HDB that even their own HDB officers are confused.

Cap monthly income ? North Korean style?

By making cheaper estates like Sembawang more attractive, so ppl will choose these cheaper estates rather than paying high premium for older estates.

HDB are cheap if ppl choose houses according to their means….. Instead of paying $500+k for a 3 room flat in Bukit Merah, why not pay $300k for a 3 room flat in Sembawang?

By segregating this way…it will translate to rich live in central…poor lives in outskirts?

building materials cost more In Bukit Merah and it cost lesser in Sembawang, Jurong west?

Is it an issue? There are plenty rich ppl living in the outskirts too by their own preferences.

Also, old estates in Bukit Merah has plenty of old and poor ppl as well.

Just let market forces dictate the prices and ppl living there…… If u tried so hard to ensure a mix of poor and rich in a particular area to ensure your “diversity”, you will end up with even more unhappiness.

Maybe u should try visiting the “outskirts”, then u will realise maybe towns like Sembawang aren’t too bad after all :)

Because people make more profit by purchase the one in Bukit Merah when they sell it.

why HDB launch in the very last days in May? HDB shall tell us reasons. Hundred of thousand BTOer waiting ,dare not go for holidays ,making important appointment in week end. They need to recce various sites of BTO...

That’s the point.

So, why are ppl complaining Bukit Merah houses are expensive? Because if they are expensive, they can earn less profit?

It has nothing to do with the affordability of hdb, cause hdb remains very affordable
