Hi guys,

hope you guys can give some ideas on my trip from 13 - 18 Jan 2019. I will be travelling with my wife and a 1 1/2 year old son. Basically this trip with be free and easy, only in Taipei and mainly hunting down for good food and chilling around. Will be staying in Roaders Hotel in XMD all the way.

13 Jan - Arriving Taipei 1.15pm. Will take the express train to Taipei Main Station and to XMD. Will mostly likely stay the rest of the day in XMD.

14 Jan -

15 Jan -

16 Jan -

17 Jan -

18 Jan - Flight back is on 3.55 pm so will make our way to the airport from hotel around 11-12noon. So nothing much except grab breakfast in XMD.

Since we are travelling with a toddler, we might have to travel back to hotel for his afternoon nap and since this is our first tw trip, hope you can guys recommend places with good food and nearby places to chill and sightsee.

Also, I know it is winter but not sure how to dress up for it. I guess the usual long pants, t-shirt and jacket will suffice?

Thanks!:s12:

depends. if u r in malls yes. if u are on those streets....best bet is try find a family mart

i think my comment is easily understood to cover quick service restaurants like 7-11, family mart. but for these convenience stores, need to find fairly big ones as the smaller one will not have.

It's quite hard to find toilet in Taiwan

Sent from LGE LG-H870DS using GAGT

Train stations have toilet..
On the other hand I find Hong Kong harder to find toilets.
Especially mongkok and temple street etc...
MacDonald's toilets always have few people queue up...
Went Cafe de coral seems slightly better. Not much people.

Or look for temples.
Usually they have it inside.

Hk is the worse place to hunt for toilets. Really sad. Human rights not there for toilets.
No wonder china guests resort to dumping on the streets

Any Taipei driver to recommend?

I got look at another thread but it is full of advertisement posts.

To minimize travelling time in order to explore many places within a day.

Any Taipei driver to recommend for one day?

My itinerary as follows:
  1. Jiufen Old Street
  2. Golden Waterfall
  3. Yin Yang Sea
  4. YMS or Elephant Mountain for night scenery - can advise?
