April is also a good time to do trekking.
Suggest u choose some old trails and spend a day out in nature.
草嶺古道,i did twice.
But do prepare your ration and h2o.
No shop in between trailwalking to be found.

Can list down the stuff/places/experiences you already visited?
Cities/towns are big, there maybe many hidden gems you have not done/visit yet?

That will be too many haha. But yes you are right most of the cities and towns the places I visited are usually just the touristy ones. Except for Taipei which I feel I got literally nothing to do anymore, probably just gonna spend 1.5day there for my next trip

Elephant hill at xinyi district.
If you are adventurous enough, xinbei also has a good choice as well.
Yangmingshan?
Guanyinshan?

Elephant hill climb before quite relaxing one. YMS also went a few times before. which mountain in Xinbei?

i was deciding between GYS or Jinmainshan previously but opted for JMS as i find it more accessible. but seriously JMS is not that easy though, some part really steep and we spend around 4hrs in total. share some pics with you guys if you all are interested to climb JMS

the more challenging steps

Yes/.
Departure stamps will soon be obsolete with the autogate.

But this wasn’t the case for us in our recent trip last month. As I had read from this forum that many had used the auto gates during their departure from Taoyuan Airport, so we thought that this is now the current practice and made our way to the auto gates. However we were stopped by an airport staff, telling us that the auto gates are not for people like us who are holding foreign passports and directed us to the manned counters. :s11: So ya, our passports all have the departure stamps.

I was also diverted to manual counters at times.

Was directed to manned counters during Nov when leaving tw.

lucky they directed me to the counter, the queue at the automated gate is so long. the counter is so much faster.

got more time to spare and no need to rush

and i think the auto gate got diff queue for locals and foreigners, so i think u all went to the wrong one?

More like depends where the officers point you to.
Can be pretty messy as well.
