:s13:

how can something which sounds so intelligent be so dumb...

:s22:

Modern electric trains especially in urban networks are highly dependent on each other due to regenerative braking.

They usually use the braking of one train to help accelerate the other train away from the station.

That’s why you cannot simultaneously start all trains along the line, usually trains are progressively added to the line.

It seems like they tried to divert power from the circle line and overloaded that circuit.

Some countries with older networks are still buying diesel electric trains for greater reliability.

They can consider buying a small fleet of diesel electric to use during the weekends along with reduced hours for more maintenance to be done.

LOL at the 2 passengers in train feeling unwell and can get Minister to activate LTA/ SMRT. Must be grassrooters with the right phone numbers in their contact list.

Wonder how they can find 2 specific people inside a crowded train. If they start shouting "who is feeling sick?" everyone will raise their hands.

3 lines down at the same time is a major tpt disaster. Shakes the confidence of investors. Ceca might choose not to come.

based on what has been communicated, seems like failure of a high voltage cable. Such cables are built to last 30 - 40 yrs (and are not "maintained" in the conventional sense), and if there is as sudden failure, replacing the cable is not a straightforward task.

Need to get LEW, PE, cut off the damaged portion and carry out 2 jointing operations at each end.

to restore operation in 3 hrs... damn fast already.
