i think the fundamental for flagship camera standard in 2023 is to at least have a IMX989 1-inch sensor
after that then you fine tune via software and many other tweaks.

If you do not have the best hardware in the market now, how far you can go is already limited by the hardware.... even if you have developed the best software, it will never be 100/100 because your maximum score is only 85 or 90

Street price is already 10% lower than RRP
Even if i factor in 3% credit card surcharge on Taobao and express air freight which is like $30-$40, i should be able to get the base spec 12GB+256GB for ~$1100

i understand direct definitely cheaper
only risk is get a lemon n need sne dback 1-1 exchange

use a card like youtrip, u might even save more

i think im more inclined to use OCBC's Buy Now Pay Later card to break it into 6 payments interest free
Also, the Forex difference ~1% nia vs Youtrip if you use alipay's conversion rate of RMB to SGD instead of letting your bank do the conversion

normally i like to find cons of phone instead of pro

if cons dun affect u than is the phone for u

oppo x6 pro cons is no 2x and no sport mode imo
rest is must get the phone n use urself
