Big disclaimer, this is NOT MY PHONE! But I was given the chance to have a significant hands on session with a local SG set that someone I know has. It's exactly the same set as you would get if you ordered from Oppo SG directly.

Here are my thoughts :

1. Back of phone is matte, feels a bit furry, quite an interesting texture. Personally I wished they brought in the red for the Pro though.

2. Magnetic gift set is sealed, can't see or take pictures of the inside. The case is black but the powerbank seems to be blue. The powerbank is 5000mAh. If anyone is interested in the magnetic gift set, PM me. My friend is open to letting it go. But if you want to lowball, don't bother. RRP is $108 if iI remember correctly.

3. I can confirm there is a power adaptor in the box, it is 3 pin. Also comes with USB cable and a solid white colour TPU case

4. Something new is the Action button on the left of the phone. It replaces the slider for vibra and mute. You can set it to Mind Space, Sound and Vibration, DND, Camera, Translate, Voice Recorder, Screenshot and No Action

5. The camera "button" is still there and as pointless as ever. I didn't use it for the X8Pro and I doubt I'd use it for the X9Pro. It doesn't seem like Oppo improved it much. It's still a capacitive button unlike real buttons on Xperia phones and you can slide to zoom but it's still as clunky as ever. If I set the sensitivity to high, wil easily activate the camera accidentally, if set to low, pressing the button requires more effort and then I'll shake the phone when pressing. End up useless for me. But like another reviewer said, more options are better than less. Hopefully someone else finds it useful.

6. Screen wise it's flat, really flat. If you're the type that loves to use gestures to navigate, you will feel the 90 degree corners at the edge of the screen but if you have a case on, it's ok.

7. Haven't got time to show pics taken from the phone yet. I'll probably do a comparison between the X8P and X9P later because I find youtube reviews comparing the old vs the new severely lacking.

Yah the power bank is kind of useless, considering the phone has huge battery life .

Considering switching to this from honor as I don't like honor software, and there are notification issues. Any such issues with OPPO phones since it's also a Chinese brand?
