I have a colleague who did this course part-time maybe 3-4 years back. It was really hard to find evening modules, she had to take some day classes and request for special leave and come back to work after class. If your workplace is flexible, it may be possible to still do it on a part-time basis, but your choice of modules will be rather restricted. From her advice, I'm applying for Masters in Statistics instead of Maths.

finally theres someone who has taken it before! i tried googling and the amount of personal experiences mentioned online was very very little almost nil. really glad to find someone who is facing the same dilemma as me!:)
actually im also considering stats but i do not have stats or maths background so i think i will be most likely on track 2 and the website mentioned it is strictly for full timers only for this track..
i suppose you have some background in stats or maths so will be going on track 1?

im wondering if i can choose not to attend the day time lessons physically and there will be some form of recorded lectures in the portal for me to listen to? but it seems like theres none and so... i guess most likely stats and maths are out of my choices for now..

I thought the main difference between track 1 and track 2 is whether your first degree was a 3-year bachelor or has a 4th year honours? I'm technically not Math trained either, got my honours in engineering, but I'm trying for track 1 anyway.

I think your best bet in finding answers to your queries would be to ask NUS staff directly? Maybe call or email them? Anyway application period was just closed last month, so you might have to wait a while.

Do you all happen to know of someone with a private degree manage to get into msc in maths? Like say, an honours from SIM UOL?

yea. wanted to call but wasnt sure if they will be clear on such things. wanted to hear some personal experiences but it looks like not a lot of ppl are doing it, at least for part time though.

i think i will call them when nearer to the application perid and give it a try. from there, i will then see how, i guess.

me think it is clearly stated:

*This programme is designed primarily for students to pursue on full-time basis, and almost all modules offered in the programme will be scheduled on day-time only. As part-time and full-time students will be taking a common set of modules, part-time students will be expected to make their own arrangements to attend most of their classes in day-time. Prospective applicants whose working schedules are not flexible enough for them to take leave from their employers to attend day-time classes on a regular basis are strongly advised not to apply for the programme on part-time basis.
