Hi All,

I am looking to setup a Windows Machine to allow me to perform some basic Application testing at home using VMware Workstation.

I think max 3 VM with 2 or 4GB RAM each.

I considering between I7 and I5 CPU. The application testing running on those VM shouldn't be too CPU demanding. Some .NET web application testing with IIS.

The application that VM would be running

- Windows 2008R2 or Windows 7
- IIS7.
- IE

depends on your vm need. if need processing power, using i7 will be better. if not, having more ram will be better than i7.

I know RAM is damn important and I planning to run SSD for those VM I/O is also important.

With a fast I7 without a fast HDD.. is also useless from what I Read online
