Be mentally prepared for the followings, before you decided to take up ICA job, as an immigration or enforcement officer.

Must maintain your fitness physically regularly.
Be prepared to work graveyard shifts.
Be prepared to report to work upon activation.

You might be posted to ulu places like jurong island, Pulau Brani for example.

If you are scheduled for medical, there is a good chance you are deemed desirable.

Since you have done medical, be patient and wait. Usually, they will inform you of the offer 1 month before your intake. For example, if your intake is in Feb 2022, you will be informed in Jan 2022.

Also bear in mind, sometimes it may take longer, as time is needed to firm up a batch size.

I wonder how ica select their candidate for DEI. My friends and I applied few times and straight rejection after waiting for 4 weeks. Not even being called up for submitting documents. our certs were from local uni as well.

My view is that "local uni" would not put you at an advantage. It is important to know why you want to join ICA and put that across.

A very simple full body check up. Some things that are done include taking of height and weight, eyesight test, drawing of blood, ECG test.

If you have been called up for medical check up, there is a good chance of you being selected.
