Hi all, as above, need some recommendation for cooking hood and hob brand. How are Mayer, Bosch and Rinnai?

I heard Brandt is quite good as well, but so far none of the salesperson have introduced Brandt to us, so those 3 brands above were the ones that were introed.

Ahhh Bosch. Bosch was the first brand that we were introduced to. Looks really slick and nice, comes with the Schott glass, really easy to clean (although most other brands are easy to clean too). However, the Bosch slim hood's suction is not as strong.

Mayer is the cheapest of the 3 (Bosch, Rinnai and Mayer), so i was wondering if anyone using Mayer is facing any problems e.g.

I went to a showroom to look yesterday. In terms of design and ease of cleaning, Bosch and Mayer looked the best for hobs.

I bought Brandt Hob and Induction at GC.

The current for Induction is 15 Amp as compared to other Induction which current is 20 to 30 Amp.

Moreover the warrant is 2 years.

What’s about fujioh

Fujioh quite a premium brand from japan - good quality and lasting, slightly on the $$ side.

Rinnai - cheap and good.

Depend on budget - i will just choose between the two.

Warning: Disappointed with Bosch Schott Glass

Do not be sweet talk into the Bosch Schott glass, which they claimed to be some branded glass. However only 1mth into using it, there was a small crack on the glass.

Contacted the CSO from Bosch and was told wear and tear not included in warranty.
argued that only used for 1 mth and what wear and tear are they referring to.
In the end they offer a minimal discount on the replacement of glass which still cost so much.

Disappointed with their so called branded glass.
