Decided to redo my cooking area top hung cabinet to change cooking hood from recirculating to duct out. Will report back after this. But so far both the Bosch induction hob and fotile cookiing hood I very satisfied.
Can I check with you do we need any approval for duct out?
I heard HDB doesn't allow duct out design, is that true?

I didn’t need to get any approval.

Duct out is approved as long as it does not protrude out of your unit.

There’s a vendor in Singapore specialising in doing cooking hood duct out works. I suggest you contact them to find out more.

Wonderful. My ID even made sure there's a removeable cover that allows access to the hood if servicing is needed. And the cover just above the hood is also removable to allow the hood to be uninstalled if replacement or remove from the wall is necessary for major servicing.

Wow! Looks like a very clean workmanship!

Since both are removable, how come there's a need to separate the cover's material (white and wood)?

bottom panel is slightly visible when the doors are closed, hence it uses the external laminate.

The wood cover is to access the ducting only, while the white cover at the bottom is to allow the hood to be lifted up for complete removal from the mounting bracket at the back.
