Sources confirmed for k20 pro will be coming to Sg as the Mi9T series, for Sg market (donno about Malaysia) Redmi will be relegated to entry to mid range, all high range will be carry by Xiaomi, so (for now) even if Redmi come out with flagship phone, in Sg it will be migrated to under xiaomi brand

Again this is why I am calling Singapore (including Thailand it seems) as tier 3
Market where lower volume of sales expected but higher price to cover (partly becos due to high cost of overheads in Sg esp when the distributors are by 3rd parties eg. Mi store

At least we’re getting it. And plus, Xiaomi is a more recognisable name compared to Redmi, so this should somewhat help the sales.

Saw on yt that Mi 9T is SD 710 version, not even the K20 pro SD855 version. Hopefully we can get the K20 pro soon

aliexpress has the k20 pro global rom version but seems like the sellers are just installing the global rom on the china version.

Another source confirm for ph mi9T is k20 which I will assume mi9T pro will be k20 pro

Hence lend credibility to the above post of flashing mi 9 T with the beta rom

See before topping up you must know the wearranty is by local shop, hence need to find out the history of its been around for a 1/2 to a decade then can buy with warranty

nfc can use for sure, but gpay abit difficult cos china rom no gplay services, and very lechey to set up. best to wait for global rom (which I think just released only), but need to unlock bootloader which need to wait and need to be careful while flashing to not relock it as flashing regional roms not intended for the set on locked bl will hard brick. after that still need to flash magisk to pass safetynet, then can use gpay.

basically, if u know what you're doing, buying china set and flashing global rom is well worth the money saved. but if you don't, better wait for global set la har :s22:

hmm, not sure is taobao is around 650.
Paying 735 with one year warranty is not so bad also but must see what it cover
