App vault shortcuts are in English. Managed to get most things working so far.

One last problem is swiping up from any screen, can't change it to Google. Disabled swipe up feature for now.

Can find, but it's written as just "Android". And got 2-3 of the same phone I think. Why ah?

I had same issue on k20 china rom. even when connected to wifi, you check from your computer cannot find phone. flashing global rom resolved the issue for me

Mine was English but then suddenly becomes Chinese and can't find ways to switch back to English.

Installed my poco f1 app vault version from play store and disabled the china version and now is English version but most of the shortcuts widgets are missing. Can only put apps.

Maybe factory reset can solved but not now.

As for swap up u can enable app drawer in setting

To get Google Pay working on Redmi K30 4G/5G, you need
1) unlocked bootloader
2) root with Magisk (flash patched boot.img)
3) install GPay fix magisk module

If you use Singtel Dash (contactless payment including transport/transit) all NFC payment works without any modding.

Thanks bro. Just gotten the phone today. Disappointed to find that google pay doesnt work. A search led me here.... is this the only method to enable google pay? really dont feel like rooting the phone

I haven't tried NFC yet, but it works for Xiaomi 10 Pro CN rom, I would think it would work on K30 Pro too...

Are your settings correct? Default wallet HCE & default Google pay?

Settings > Connections & sharing > NFC "on" > Default Wallet "Use HCE Wallet" > Tap & pay > Payment default "Google Pay"

Still deciding between K30 pro and zoom edition.
Macro lense on K30 pro seems more useful than an okay-ish telephoto on the zoom (which lacks details) and I would love to have the OIS on the zoom.

Is the OIS in zoom worth it to consider giving up the macro lens? What makes you decide between the two?

actually the macro lens on the non pro is secretly also a telephoto
i would personally pay the premium for ois and zoom.

I was in same dilemma last month. Why I got the zoom cause only less then $40 different consider same 256/8gb. I value OIS cause of better night shot. I loves macro but macro maybe u play for a while got Sian. I seldom zoom so zoom not a factor. And the 33w vs 30w is not a big difference also. Mine main draw is OIS.

Maybe redmi should come out with a k30 pro max edition that includes telephoto and marco like the mi note 10 pro with 5 lens.
But will have to pay even more

The two free screen protectors from Finer works well. The type with black corners but after installation I feel that it works well. However it literally only comes with the screen protector, must have the installing stuff yourself (wet wipe, dry wipe, guiding sticker, dust sticker).

I've also ordered several screen protectors from taobao via ezbuy. I just ordered those with many people purchasing, 9d 10d type. Don't think will have any issues with screen unlock at all.

I'm using monqiqi tpg, not bad it has the oleophobic coating, but i find it little bit thick, fingerprint unlock failed sometime.

I am using classic theme, but when I double tap, it can turn on the phone but can't turn off the screen.
My previous xiaomi phone can do both.
