Yes! As what lohsenglte said!

So, when redOne is weak or non. You can simply switch to ONEXEX data and via verses!

One troublesome part of such ONEXOX prepaid plan (data connection) is that you have got to purchase data Session Pass first and then withdraw from it each and every time you want use it in Malaysia lasting between a day to a month! Of coz, you still can just purchase data add-on on the spot that costs quite a bomb!

For example, if you just wanna go to jb for a few hours or a day or a few days. You will need to withdraw the data from the Session Pass before you can have data connection. (Per day/per week or per month's basic).

On the other hand with redONE! The moment you are in Malaysia, and you turned on the Data Roaming on your phone. You instantly got the data connection in Malaysia from your monthly redONE's data bundle.

Likes yesterday! I spent just 4/5 hoors in JB. I just used redONE's data. No need to be so troublesome to withdraw data from ONEXOX's Session Pass and then wasted the data from the ONEXOX's data bundle if you don't use it all up during that 4/5 hours.

Ya! Troublesome lah unless you visit Malaysia and stay there for a few weeks or a month than worth to use ONEXOX's data. Else, just a few hours or few days. Just use redONE's data! Don't make thing so difficult for oneself LOl!

That's why redONE's bundled data which includes Malaysia is really the best deal in town for such usage!

Go Genting for 3D4N or 4D5N to gamble away your underwear or bra...? Just use redONE's data! ;)

Ya! I know what you mean. :)

I'm purely pointing out the convenience of redONE roaming data for short stay in Malaysia and ythe benefits of redONE over other Singapore telcos which do not offer roaming data bundle to be used in Malaysia for free.

For longer stay, frequent visit and sms and calls. One still needs a Malaysias sim likes onexox!

That's reason why I said sim 1 = redONE and sim 2 = onexox. Power Ninja! :ninja:

should be sim 1 - Singtel & Singtel MVNO and sim 2 - Onexox

Power of RED in Singapore (Best Network) and Power of coverage/data in Malaysia - Celcom

u still need local sim as u need to call landline or mobile no.

Onexox only cost S$20 come with 10GB of data can use for 28 month...

S$20 is not alots .... one time cost only... vs monthly plan of redone just for roaming data to malaysia and give so little local data

redone plan is costly and give so little data... compare to other MVNO plan in singapore..

hence onexox is better

One got to calm down a little when it comes to giving unwavering support to Singtel/Onexox.

Everyone has different needs & requirements, so no one combination satisfy all. For example I use redone/onexox prepaid combination because it suits me and I seriously don't care if others thought their combinations are cheaper/better/bigger/branded/stylish etc.

But just for argument sake, data on Onexox prepaid cost RM50 / 10GB. Redone cost me S$18 (RM60) for 25GB. I happened to use up 20GB of Onexox and 15GB redone data during my last Malaysia trip. So although convenient, onexox is definitely not cheaper than Redone for my usage pattern.

If you are doing day trips and consuming 500MB data each time and don't mind switching cards and messing with data purchase on apps then by all means continue using the singtel/onexox combination, it is your personal choice anyway.

Different usage pattern different plans.

End of the day must give you the convenience and meet your own needs.

So far, I haven't encountered any SP problem with onexox since 2018.

Also, I just signed up a new number a few days ago and I managed to transfer (Share) all SP data and talk times from my old number to the new number to be used for the next 28 months. (y) :giggle:

Anyway, this thread is not so much about onexox verses redONE...

It should be more about the comparison between sg local sim card in which redONE is the only provider that gives its customers to use data connection in Malaysia within its data bundle. That alone, no one can beat them. The best and the smartest choice as most of us frequent JB / Malaysia for short stay. (y) (y) (y) (y)

Good point and not to forget the advantage of having Onexox is the ability to make local calls while redone take care of the data usage

If I'm following this thread correctly. To sign up RedOne.

01. Visit a challenger store listed in https://www.redone.com.sg/support/locate_an_agent
02. sign up (bring the NRIC)
03. Will received the SIM card on the same day (then wait for PORT IN)

Is that correct?

Oh anyway happen to know the WOAH plans only pay $10?

From 7 Sept 2021 onwards, upon registration of the mobile line, there will be a SIM Card fee of $10 and a 1st month payment of your subscription plan required. These fees are payable upfront and non-refundable. The 1st month payment of your subscription plan will cover for the 1st month bill. Any remaining will roll over to cover the fee for the following month.

$10 for 30 GB local data/300mins is value for $$. Additional redCONNECT MY (Malaysia data bundle) priced at $4/GB which is the same TPG. This is worthwhile for considering if only occasionally traveling to Malaysia.
i still think amazing plan are better for those travelling to m'sia 1-2 x a month save hassle buying additional addon for roaming
