I've heard this too, that ATi/AMD somehow has better color reproduction. I can't say for sure, one way or another, but I do prefer ATi/AMD and keep going back to it.

I'd actually started out with nVidia, let's see:
Riva TNT, GF2 MX400, GF4 MX440, Abit GF4 4200 Ti, ATi 9700 Pro, Hercules 9800Pro, FX5900, MSI GF 6800 Ultra, GF 7950 GX2, 2x HD 2900XT, HD3870 X2 + HD3870, 2x HD5870, 2x HD5970, 2x PowerColor R9 290X, LeadTek GTX1080, 3x VEGA64 (2x GB Gaming OC, 1x PowerColor Red Devil)

These are the cards that I can remember owning, may have missed one or two here and there, memory (bad RAM) is kinda fuzzy now.:D Anyway, I still have the two 9 290X, GTX1080 and the three VEGA64

I'm using 19.8.1 since I installed my sapphire pulse 5700 xt and no problems so far. I'm lucky I guess. Do note that I also swapped out my MB, cpu and ram, I only kept my ssd, hdd and psu. I don't know if that affects anything.

PowerColor and Sapphire are the two go-to brands I buy for AMD, but if Sapphire doesn't offer extended warranty like others, then it's off my list. I'm seriously tempted by the PC 5700XT Red Devil, but my eyes have strayed to the XFX 5700XT THICC, I get thick for THICC.....see what I did there? :D I'm trying to be strong and hold out for NAVI 23.
