Then why can’t you open it on 1 Dec to enjoy the bonus now? I got nothing to regret because I didn’t know the trick to open two accounts then. I thought could only open either.
in case HYSA to Bank A to PP is not considered fresh funds. though I tested and it worked for other banks, not sure about RHB

nobody can confirm until they actually received the interest. Best bet will be still two different name.
But if use different names, then will incur fall-below fee for the PP account for months that you transfer to HYSA.

That why don’t open PP if just have 200k. Open PP if the amount is high. If the amount payment of 20 dollars is still worth it.

What I’m trying to say use 2 HYSA. No fee enough mah. One month hubby name one month wifey name. No issue.
If use PP if you have 500k then no issue paying the 20 dollars is still worth it.

PP account gets around 32 dollars more a month. But you need to pay 20 dollars, net is 12 dollars more. But some month you don’t get interest as the fund is being shifted. You still incurred 20 dollars.
Is this based on exactly 200k?

To find out how it works. For PP it stated 1st 200K is 2%, next 300K is 3% & next 500K is 3.5%. Let's say if my savings is 600K, 1st 200K is 5.5%, 300K is 6.5% & 100K will get 7%, right? (including the bonus 3.5% interest)

what happen if they decide to end the bonus interest after feb? you take all the money out of pp. then you kena $20 for 3 months before you can close it. that will more than wipe out the $20 you gain.

but if you have 300k, it is worth to get the PP acount.

2021 rhb got similar promo mechanism.
They extended promo once and after that, no more promo bonus interest.
There was no fall below fee then.

For reference only.

Are you guys planning to place 1 month only? (because, it is incremental funds from the previous month). For myself, I will not be able to capitalize on it for Dec, because I have funds in my account now. Will empty it out on Nov 30, and place it all back on Jan 1. So, I will only benefit this bonus interest for 1 month.

Does the promo works across the 2 accounts under the same name?

I only have hysa, can i open pp account then transfer the funds from hysa to another bank then from that bank transfer to pp account?

yes i am doing 1 pp and 1 hysa. i have only 350k. i am not so power like the people here. i dont want to take the risk of having 2 pp.

some people say hysa if less than 200k, pp if more than 500k

if 350k, so 1 hysa, 1 pp
I thought you are doing 1 HYSA and 1 PP.

So can you share if you are using your own name for both accounts? Or are you using 2 different names? Or are you using your own name for one account, and your name and a family member’s name for the other account as joint account?

Hi. Anyone able to do a fund transfer from RHB HYSA to Maybank i-savvy successfully?
Mine doesn't work and called the call centre but they can't tell why. I can transfer to SCB, DBS, UOB, HSBC all no problem except for Maybank.....
