Hi
I would like to know
1) if there is any lunch provided on the first day of the cruise??
2) we intend to purchase the UDP we have a 6yr old and 3yr old with us.
I understand that my 6yo have to pay usd10 for every specialty restaurant we go. What if we enter the izumi and opt of the ala cart menu(UDP has usd35), does my kid still have to pay the usd10 although I’m not going for the set meal.
thanks
1) Yes
2) Now its all set. No more 35 USD credit for Izumi if u using UDP

I've a question about the Deluxe Beverage package... if anyone can help to answer :)

If I have a Deluxe Beverage package, can I walk into the specialty restaurant (like Izumi or Wonderland) to order a cocktail without eating there?

Of course, this would be during non-peak dining timings.

why would you want to order a cocktail there?

they dont have alcohol/drinks on the counter and will also have to go to nearest bar to collect the drinks - and it takes a while. Faster to order at the bar/drinks station.
Dont think they will reject u though if they have seats available.
what's the value add to order thru the specialty restaurant? is there a 'loophole'?

The drinks for Chops, Izumi and Wonderland are usually made in Schooner Bar so you can get the drinks from there if you are interested in the drinks unique to those restaurants.

For the drink package, can I just buy 1pax and share w my spouse?

Sharing is prohibited, they can revoke your package for breaking the rules.

That said, for Deluxe drink package, they require everyone in the cabin buy it (if you call, they will make an exception and allow non-drinkers to buy a non-alcoholic package). For Refreshment package, its possible for a single person in a cabin to buy

Report from the cruise last Tuesday (4 May):

1. Two shows on board only - Gold Art Duo and Starwater
Really good quality shows that could have easily cost $50 for a ticket on land.
2. Bumper car bookings went out real fast
3. I found Flowrider to be rather fun so do consider trying a few times if the queue time is short and you are adventurous.
4. Chopes Grille is really good so do consider this if you only gonna try one speciality restaurant.
5. Got the refreshment package and seems like I did not utilise enough value. Well played by RC to price this way on the drinks package.
6. MDR food at Icon Grill (1st day dinner) and Windjammer (both days breakfast) was tasty and of decent quality. Didn't get to try lunch or dinner on Windjammer.
7. Free hotdogs and pizza are tasty enough for me!
8. Wifi was OK but there were some spots (e.g. cabin) that had poor signal. Once again well played to RC on their pricing on wifi packages.
9. Casino's minimum bet on blackjack tables is US$15. Did not try other games.
10. Overall a relaxing experience with crowd levels comfortable for me. Can't imagine how crowded the ship is if it is at maximum capacity.

Eh I took a second look and it is indeed Starwater featuring Victoria Stryzhak.

Looking at current developments I wouldn't be surprised if the June cruises are called off.
