Nv see canned drinks before. But i did brought my own bottled green tea. Its ok to bring your own drinks/wine onboard.Thank you! How about normal canned drinks? Does restaurants allow if we bring our own?
Not so soon one. Usually 7-10 days before then you can book.Anyone on oct trip received email to book pcr test ?
For 13-16 sep. What i remember is 8pm/10pm Sequins & feather and Gold art duo one show in the afternoon and one at 10pm. thats all i rmb.Hi, can someone share the latest headliner shows and timings ? Share cruise compass if possible. Thanks.
I would recommend to book the main dining hall timing 8.15pm one better. Usually finish 9+ go queue for 10pm show just nice. If you go book 6pm timing. Usually clash alot of activity. From my own experience. What i do is i 6pm go casino play awhile (no queue cos everyone go dinner at 6pm) then 8pm go eat, 10pm show.Looks like you're still good to go! If you can, would you be able to let us know what the headliner shows are & their timings during your sailing (in the daily Compass Cruise)? Makes for easier dining plans. Thanks!!
Thanks for the comprehensive information onboard, greatly appreciated! I have 8.15pm dining anyway because on previous cruises, even 7pm dining is too early - still full from lunch/brunch etc, haha. However, the 8.15pm obviously clashes with the 8pm shows. Do you know which they were on the Days 2 & 3? By the way, is the Solarium Bistro, where you can get breakfast no longer operating?? Now casino need to queue, peak timing 30mins-1hr easily. Only meal time and super early morning no queue.
For day 1 8pm and 10pm show is the same (the feather show dancing/singing show), day 2/3 8pm dont have show if i rmb correctly. I think all these shows timing might keep changing for your trip until few days before then the timing will be accurate. Thanks for the comprehensive information onboard, greatly appreciated! i remember reading somewhere that they offers 100% refund cancellation if you missed your departure. they will take it as you cancelled your trip because of covid related issue. i saw it during may/june period. not sure whats the policy now. I was planning to cancel my trip previous so i looked it up and found that.Hi,
My family and I were supposed to go on 9th Sep cruise - we did our PCR test on 7th and result was -ve and we have declared 'ok' in our health declaration submission on the following day.
Due to an unfortunate event, an office colleague was diagnosed with Covid+ on 8th Sep; and as I have few interactions with him for past few days days prior + lunch session, I would consider myself to be a close contact.
Decided to contact RC rep over phone wrt cancellation (if possible) on the day of departure itself and they were not able to advice anything.. thus decided to abort departing on the day, just to be safe + in case I received SMS or call from MOH on contact tracing.
questions;
1. based on above scenario, possible to get refund, or any cruise credit?
2. have emailed RC guest relations - there is a standard email response template, but noy
/
any suggestion?
thx
That only applies to specific sailings that were affected due to Phase 2 HA as the measures announced by the Govt was just before the affected sailing.i remember reading somewhere that they offers 100% refund cancellation if you missed your departure. they will take it as you cancelled your trip because of covid related issue. i saw it during may/june period. not sure whats the policy now. U will need to cancel the UDP. Specialty dining food can't be ordered to room or takeaway.Anyone knows what is the arrangement for unvaxx who bought the UDP? Can order back to room/do takeaways at specialty restaurants?
That’s the issue.. there were few of us close contacts (based on interaction) only 2 received SMS from MOH as HRA.. myself didn’t receive a single sms; surprisingly, out of 2 colleagues, 1 happened to meet us only for a brief 15 min.. such inconsistencyThat only applies to specific sailings that were affected due to Phase 2 HA as the measures announced by the Govt was just before the affected sailing.
FCC usually only given if its cancelled 48hrs before the sailing. For the issue mentioned, likely will need some proof that you are required to quarantine etc for them to refund.
Nt sure abt specialty but i jus came back Mon. Order by qr code by previous nite 8pm or dial 4800. Can also go windjammer n choose yr food but dine in cabin.Anyone knows what is the arrangement for unvaxx who bought the UDP? Can order back to room/do takeaways at specialty restaurants?

Thanks for this very detailed and good review! Hope Kuba is around in Dec, never had the chance to watch a live theremin player.Just finished my solo cruise in an interior stateroom from 13-16 Sept 2021, and I had a great time! Thanks to the advice from many of the cruise veterans here to optimize the vacation time. I went for all 4 shows, watched some live music, had the Unlimited Dining Package to try all 4 of the speciality restaurents (did Chops Grille twice) and also did a number of other activities on board, so here's a short summary of what I thought about them:
Shows:
(1) Sequins and Feathers (Royal Theatre): Entertaining, fast paced and enjoyable pop music and dance performance, a must see!
(2) Gold Art Duo (Royal Theatre): Nice artistic and acrobatic showcase, dude was pretty funny too
(3) Violinist Nadiia and the Cast of Starwater (270): Nadiia was amazingly talented. The Starwater part was a bit of a headscratcher, although it did showcase the 270 stage well.
(4) KUBA (270): Think this is a new show, since nobody else here mentioned him before. KUBA is a multi-instrumentalist, and he played the vibraphone, kalimba and theremin, backed up by the Royal Caribbean Jazz Quartet (see below). Was an entertaining show and I loved the rock rendition of Caprice No. 24.
Live Music:
(1) The Kinetic Band (Music Hall): cover-pop rock band from the Philippines, watching the show made me realise how much I missed live rock band performances in Singapore. Great band!
(2) Royal Caribbean Jazz Quartet (Music Hall): amazingly talented musicians doing what they do best. Was especially impressed by the guitarist.
(3) Yaroslav (guitar) (Boleros): amazingly talented classical guitarist. Pretty robotic in terms of audience interaction, but just seeing Asturias performed live was insane.
Speciality Dining:
(1) Chops Grille: Had Chops Grille for both lunch and dinner. Great place for your steaks, I think I preferred the filet mignon over the bone-in ribeye after trying them both on two separate occasions. Favourite starters were the wild mushroom soup and the crab cake, while the lobster bisque was a little too salty. Red velvet cake and chocolate cake were both great, though I was pretty full by the time I got to dessert
(2) Jamie's Italian: Had it for dinner. Everything was so good but I ordered way too much for myself. Both starters, crispy squid and baked mushroom, were excellent. Had both carbonara and salmon for mains, with rocket salad as a side. Everything was great but only had enough space for about half of each. Tiramisu was great too!
(3) Izumi: Lunch. It's not ala-carte; you order one small plate, two large plates and a dessert. Gyoza was not bad, and my favourite was the Chef's sushi roll, really tasty. Tried the ramen too and while I liked the meat and egg, the noodles were a bit sus; they didnt look or feel like actual ramen noodles. Matcha ice cream was matcha ice cream.
(4) Wonderland: Nice dinner to round up the dining experience. Inventive cuisine, with each of the dishes having multiple elements and thought behind it. The narrative and service experience was excellent, and there were several standout dishes like the tomato water, smokey eggs and the pork belly (the applesauce drops were amazing!) The World dessert was a great spectacle to watch, but it tasted too overly sweet. But then again I'm the kind who orders 0% sugar bubble tea, lol.
Other Activities
(1) Early hot tub at the Solarium on Day 1 is a must, before everyone else comes onboard. Also went to the openair pool and hot tub on Day 3 and it was enjoyable as well.
(2) Went for a number of game activities like Sudoku, General Trivia, Harry Potter Trivia and Word Search, I'm bad at all of them, but still it was entertaining. Had some great hosts such as Tristan and Xiao!
Interior Room
- I felt the room size was perfect for a solo traveller, and never felt the need for a balcony or something. The lcd screen with the fake balcony was funny but actually felt quite good psychologically.
Can't wait for my Grand Suite cruise in January!
MBCC staff will normally turn people away and ask them to wait until their check in time before doing ART. essentially check in time indicated is now ART time according to the email i got for my dec sailing- only expect to be onboard 1-1.5h after actual check in time. my time is 2.30pm again in dec, i have given up and accepted that i will only get to eat/board at 4pmHave heard that the ART before check in took about 1 to 1.5 hrs and delay the boarding time, many passengers have arrived early to do the ART.
Understand that the official check in time is 2pm.
If our selected check in time in RC is 12.30pm, as long I have completed ART and obtained result, we should board accordingly to our time, and not for other passengers whose boarding time is later than ours and completed ART.
Once you have cleared your ART, you will need to wait for immigration to open before you can board the ship. If there are people who have a later ART test time than you but get their results early enough, they can still join the queue for immigration. They won't be giving any priority just because you have an earlier ART test time.Have heard that the ART before check in took about 1 to 1.5 hrs and delay the boarding time, many passengers have arrived early to do the ART.

lol.. cant take that chances.. am on regulated industry, cant have any issue that might affect my license or unnecessary exposure..You should have go for the cruise since technically you are not affected.
You are not even in the quarantine list.
Very hard to claim refund coz no official notification from MOH.
