Like Bde or HQ, personnel come and go all the time. All not at the same stage of ICT.
My ICT unit is a NS battalion which also have another parent battalion which is a active unit.
The CO and RSM are regular of the active unit, and they are also the CO and RSM of my ICT unit.
However, we all belongs to a company under this NS battalion, which we are posted in together, and we will MR together, as we are at the same stage of ICT.
Our company have our own OC, CSM, who are also NSman.
From what I know, every few year, there will be new companies created in this battalion for new batch of nsman.
In this case, are we also consider evergreen unit?

Does sound like an evergreen unit, but you guys in coy seem like your own bubble where you'll MR together, just not as a whole unit. Interesting, never hear about this kind of structure before.

Evergreen means the unit doesn't stand down after their 10 year cycle is over. Instead the 10 year cycle is repeated again and so forth

There will always be new NSMen posting in to replace those who are going to MR.

Yes. Cause it sounds like your NS unit doesn’t really officially stand down too. So it keeps going. What’s this unit name, if you can share?

Wanna check if any peeps here was in the same situation as me before..

I went to see Specialist (referred by GP) couple of months ago, then subsequently did MRI at the advice of the Specialist and finally the result is that I have a SLAP Tear.. So then I was referred to try Physio and see if it gets any better; if not will have to do Surgery.

My IPPT window is Jul annually and I always only take 1-2 weeks before it closes (can check for my past records), is it possible to exempt IPPT for one window (this current) one? After I recover in the next year either through Physio or Surgery I can resume taking IPPT. Personally I never had any issues with IPPT, at least Silver for the past 8-9 years. Even for the current window, it's only the Push-up I can't do. I can't even do the minimum to get 1 point to pass as my Sit-ups and 2.4km will more than make up to at least a Pass with Incentive.

Emailed my unit earlier but still no reply yet.. so just trying my luck here to see anyone was in the same situation and able to share your experiences. :o

I would suggest you just go and clock an attempt just for attendance for this year.
The thing is the system will automatically flag u as ippt defaulter if u dun do anything. And even subsequently u managed to appeal or whatever. It will be just a big waste of time.

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually I did in fact booked an IPPT slot for next week already but think confirm CMI. Haha.

After reading further, understand that I will have to get my Medical status endorsed by Camp MOs.. but I tried to book appointment via the Managed Health portal, can't get through.. the dropdown listings are all empty :spin:

When u just wan to clock attendance just need to do 1 rep attempt. Like 1 sit up. Then u can leave already. You can just let the trainers there know u have medical condition and just need to clock attendance they will tell u what to do.

1) Yes can, but make sure it is appropriate camp attire too
2) Depends on the conduct. They may let you fall out after the 2 static stations and clock it as an attempt anyway even without 2.4km. Ask the trainers about it.

@NeverTooLate Have you tried reaching or enquiring via contact(at)ns(dot)1sg ? They may be able to redirect you sooner.

Thanks Bros for the suggestions.

The IC have since gotten back to me and advised me request the Admin Support to arrange a medical review for me with the Camp MOs. So now is waiting for them arrange and let me know when's the appointment lo.

Honestly, I really hope they don't down my PES and change my unit. I only left a few cycles.. :o
