It's possible. USBC dock with HDMI to monitor. With keyboard and mouse. even pair it with a game controller

Just need basic excel and word apps (if available? Or just use googledrive apps), movies and surfing. Not really for intensive gaming or video creation.

Possible if you are using DeX with a monitor, but if just use as a laptop on Tab S6 itself, it's too impractical

Can use Android version of Microsoft office, Google suite or if you know how to, libreoffice.

Dex can run without monitor mah. But basically the problem is, Dex is not a full multi tasking environment.

Ya lah, I just meant if you want to use a 10.5 inch screen as your main laptop at home, it's just too torturing

10.5 too big and heavy

6.9 S10 lite alittle small

Only iPad mini if you want 8 inch. And because of its 16.9 aspect ratio, the tab s6 it s5e is bigger but not much bigger

8 inch tablets are now the budget tablets. All manufacturers have abandoned smaller tablets with phones getting bigger and bigger. The Samsung S20 Ultra is close to 7 inch at around 6.9 inch. Even the iPad Mini is also a budget Apple tablet sporting lower end specs.
