55 thinking of buying gs4. but went through thread felt the googlepay for mrt/bus rides like quite mafan and not reliable, still need to go into the app. currently using my phone, just tap can liao, dont need to open apps. can anyone share his/her experience more?

even apple watch need to turn on apple pay .. it is just how it works

I never use on bus or mrt but buying things using spay on my watch was a breeze. no need take out phone, double tap on button n pay

for me Gpay was working fine till last week, From Yesterday if stopped working, I tried resetting the watch and installed again, Still dont work. there is no option to select gpay as default contactless payment method in setting NFC, only Samsung Pay is there in the list even after setting up Gpay .

Was this resolved? I was planning to get a watch4 for Gpay as well but this is major turnoff

No. Had opened a ticket with Google support team. They also does not seems to have any clue. They transferred the ticket expert specialist. No word for last 2 days. Gpay and GW4 sucks

If anyone planning to buy Galaxy Watch 4, please remember this: You cant activate Gpay, incase if you are lucky to activate it will break after an update or it will not work as expected.

I specially bought GW4 for Gpay, no issues here. just reconfigure top right button to open gpay when double click, now don't even need to take out phone for tapping mrt/bus. Not sure what issues the others are facing.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive, decided to use the evoucher to redeem the watch4 now since they were giving a wireless duo charger and a $50 dairy farm voucher.

Export set prices have been steadily declining. On qoo10 now can get Watch 4 (40mm) bluetooth at $199 while Watch 4 classic (46mm) bluetooth is going at $320. But might as well wait for pixel watch or galaxy watch 5 to be released since the watch 4's adoption of Wear OS is so half baked.

Is it a good time to buy GW4 since Pixel watch is around the corner and rumor Wear OS with Samsung chipset and Fitbit apps in. Just got a samsung S22 and looking for smartwatch to enhance usage.

I am thinking of buying a galaxy watch 4 but is it worth it to buy from the Samsung store in Singapore? for a gw4 44mm it would cost like 440 in a Samsung store in SG but that would provide a 1-year warranty. From amazon/qoo10/shopee they cost 100-140 lesser compared to Samsung store but they are from either US, korea etc and don't have the local warranty.

So the question has anyone bought it online and had to use the warranty? what was it like?
