Yea I think so too. Assuming you could otherwise get 5% cashback on $6000 spending, the total cost is $300 (cashback foregone) + $700 (annual fee) = $1000. Works out to about 1 cpm, which is a decent rate.

100k miles is like 2 economy tickets to Japan right worth about $1300..think quite worthwhile

Tough thing is swiping 6k one shot

What to swipe for 6k? Pay tax?

Book a family trip or mistress trip in far away land or buy a branded watch for yourself or wife or mistress or buy diamond for your wife or mistress etc.

Easily more than S$6k...

Am expecting them to ask me to swipe like $8k in 3 months from date of approval plus pay the annual fee.

If I take the maximum value of miles at $0.02, that 100,000 miles is worth $2000. Don't think they will be so generous.
