Is bridging still possible currently?
if you have the Nokia ONR, should be possible. I just bridged mine yesterday following xiaofan's instructions. less than 5 minutes work including rebooting of my own router to obtain the new WAN IP from the ONR.Is bridging still possible currently?
So whether one gets Nokia or ZTE, is by sheer luck?if you have the Nokia ONR, should be possible. I just bridged mine yesterday following xiaofan's instructions. less than 5 minutes work including rebooting of my own router to obtain the new WAN IP from the ONR.
Kind of.So whether one gets Nokia or ZTE, is by sheer luck?
Kind of.
But the recent reports seem to indicate that new users will most get Nokia XS-240X-A ONR.
I tend to believe Nokia XS-240X-A ONR is of lower cost (and maybe a bit of lower build quality) than ZTE F8648P ONR. So SingTel may opt mostly to go with the Nokia.
my nokia ONR was manufactured in April 2025. So around 2 months old from factory quite "fresh" already.Kind of.

maybe the ZTE ONR are old stocks which have been cleared hence giving Nokia nowadays
i doubt they will keep old stocks as spares. That is most likely the case.
On the other hand, SingTel may keep some ZTE F8648P old stocks for those existing ZTE F8648P users, but with updated FW.
Fortunately existing users of ZTE F8648P ONR who have bridged it seem to be able to keep the bridging working, even after the FW updates. At least this is my experience.
Those who have not done the bridging before the ZTE F8648P ONR FW updates may be out of luck as of now since nobody has published the method to bridge the ZTE F8648P ONR with new FW version.

Some years back I had a Nokia ONR and i had problems with VPN. Singtel then changed to another same model Nokia ONR which didn't solve the issue and then ended up changing to a Huawei ONR for me. So I guess as long as they can solve the connection issue, any brand/model of compatible ONR will be issued
I’m new to this, sorry for this dumb question.
Do I plug the ethernet from LAN 1 on ONR to my MBP to login to the ONR portal?
It was a success! Thanks so much!Any LAN port will be okay, 192.168.1.254 is the IP address of the ONR.
Hi all, had a ZTE F8648P ONR with the latest firmware which did not show the port bridging options. However, I did manage to find it.
Following the instructions from here: https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...8p-superadmin-password.6946718/post-154220874
Visting the FastSetting page does not show the LAN ports for bridging, however you can right click and inspect element, search for a HTML element with an id of "BridgePort"
![]()
Delete `display: none;` from the style attribute by clicking on the style attribute and just hitting backspace until it is gone, then hit Enter to save. After that, you should be able to see this:
![]()
You can then follow the same instructions in the attached post (e.g. tick LAN5, then submit and reboot).
Afterwards, it should look like this if you visit the same page and delete the `display: none;` again.
![]()
All should be good and you shouldn't have double NAT anymore.
I just recontract Whizcomms to 10G plan and received the ZTE F8648P.Wonderful. Thanks a lot for the sharing!

Failed to login to support account with reverse password.
I can login to root account, but not the support account.
The Fw is v2.1.10P5N20B.
I did not change the password, login with root/password is ok, then I tried to login to support/reversedPassword, prompt error.Did you change the root account password? You may want to revert it back to the default and then try again.

Should I reset the ONR ?
Did confirm the reversed password for many times still not able to login to support account.I will say do not do that unless you are okay to lose the Internet access and potentially pay WC to sort out the issue. Just live with the unbridged ONR...
But make sure you reverse the password properly and try again before giving up.
